Axis Airtel Card cashback blunder.

I recently got Axis Airtel Card and on generation of statement, I realised that any bill payments done on Airtel App, be it Airtel bills or others, is being counted under 25% category. This means that there is no way to tap into Rs 500 monthly utility bill payment benefit as of now. 🙄

Refer to the screenshot below. The only payment in this month was for my electricity bill of Rs 1595 and cashback shown is Rs 300 whereas it should have been Rs 159.5.



Fellow community members, I would request you to keep above in mind while getting this card or wait till Axis settles these reporting issues with Airtel.

I had seen some videos wherein they mention practical issue/bugs with airtel thanks app like no option for paying bills via CC, electricity bills gets reverted in 2-3 days.
Could you confirm that does these bugs still exists or there are repeatedly improvement in the app? Have you faced any such bug/issue ?

no last month I paid my electricity bill successfully and got cashback...yaa it was giving error initially but paid successfully after multiple attempts..as I remember I allowed app personalisation then it worked.

Yup, do not worry, I went like this only.

Applied on a alternate number as Primary number offer unavailable nor airtel/AXIS was able to fix it, then once card approved and enabled did a few TXN, changed the mobile number from he APP.

It was seamless on this aspect with AXIS.

What about the Airtel thanks app? Is it showing under your primary number now?

Airtel Thanks app is just a app.

When login you use Primary number and then start paying your bills 🙂

Airtel app and credit card no relation.

Credit cards will be mapped under your name in Axis Bank, who's PAN was used to obtained.

Any different number you used, you just update it with the number you wanted to change it in AXIS. That's it , use the credit card as you wish.

Any airtel app or department stores 🙂

I tried in July-22. Due to Razorpay's illegal injection of "RAZ*" prefix in merchant name, only got 1%. But they credited the diff in Dec-22. However, stopped due to the headache. Anyway, now got better options for funding swiggy money.

Same paytm injected "paytm_cleartrip" to my transaction on FK Card. Don't know I'll get 4% Cashback or not.

Nope, it was seamless vKYC

May be re-try after sometime.

Great they didn't needed additional info. So 99% its approved. Just do the kyc.

Bhai ye physical kyc pe hi jaega🤦🏻‍♂️ axis bank ki noutnki h. Try reaching out to their twitter team and ask them to generate another vkyc link.

VKYC was done in 2 minutes but had to wait 2 hours because of Chrome permission issues and queue. Didn't get any error though. Post VKYC, physical KYC was done next day.

Wahi lag raha hai. Jab bhi click kr rha hu Complete KYC, maximum.axisbank wala webpage crome me khul ke nahi de raha.. error aa raha which I have attached

@Baruah @RajBlr today VKYC successfully completed, but again on Airtel Thanks app it is not updated, it says again to do Start KYC.
Did this happen to you as well?
It takes some time to reflect in the Airtel Thanks app.
