Axis Airtel Cashback issue

I was checking and calculating cashback per transaction on Airtel Axis Cashback.
few differences I found out:

1. Airtel Recharge market as "Utilities" and given 10% cashback sometimes
2. Zomato merchant (2 - different transactions), one is marked "Food Products" and the other "Restaurants", the second one is given 1% cashback.

What should be the solution to this?

I have multiple utility bills to pay which exceed Rs 2500 most months. With a utility capping of 250 per statement, is applying another card for my spouse considering fees beneficial? Or suggest any other cards.
Note - I have Tata Neu too.

If you send the same concern to different level , then lower level will close the request by stating that it is handling by higher level

we need to look for Merchant name along with the fact that we applied the coupon or not in airtel thanks app ?

Under recharge/pay bills page you will see AIrtel 10% off banner at top, select offer while you select payment option i.e. Airtel Axis CC, it worked for me

Today I got the response from PNO asking me to provide transaction receipt. They also closed the ticket.

I drafted a new email with the receipt. They opened a new ticket

Today I got the response from PNO asking me to provide transaction receipt. They also closed the ticket.

I drafted a new email with the receipt. They opened a new ticket

Same day sent on PNO too, today received response, they will respond in 3 working days.
They just checking Feb24 cashback in Mar25.

So I would request everyone to raise their issue with PNO to get it resolved

Yes, reach out to them every quarter claiming a minor difference. I've observed that they then calculate it manually and ensure the correct cashback is given.

I always get the additional cashback by raising the issue to Axis Twitter handle by sending all details.

Same happened with me as well. Axis Airtel's merchant category mapping for cashback is really pathetic. If the merchant's name changes it just doesn't give proper cashback and later, they correct only if we reach out to them.

For me it happened in this cycle, mailed to them via their website with transaction breakup.



They ask for the invoice of a particular transaction



and resolved the ticket by saying correct cashback will be credited. If not then, reach out to them.
Hopefully they credit correct cashback. If not, my plan is to reach out to pno.

I think it is absolute value. Not rounding to 10s or 100s
I usually spend 5000/- in total on my card at Zomato/Swiggy/Big basket and receive 500/- as cashback.

is airtel axis card eligible for makemytrip axis discounts?
if so if i make 2L transaction will i get 1% i.e, 2000 CB??

You should get 1% cashback. I did use my Axis airtel card in Oct 2024 for some discount offers on Flipkart. For ~45000/- I received ~450 Cashback.
Basically, 1% cashback is irrespective of ongoing discount offers.

I also got just 1% Cashback for BIGBASKET,BANGALORE Transaction, when i raised issue with customer care he was giving gyan that no where its mentioned it will be FLAT 10% cashback so according to him its UP TO 10% cashback so even if you get 1% you have to accept it.

In JAN too i got just 1% for Big basket transaction but that time merchant name (CASHFREE PAYMENTS INDI,REBANGALOREKA) was different , so i raised this issue in FEB after the incorrect cashback was credited and the remaining cashback was also credited on 28th FEB
