Axis Bank 2 Enquiries for Airtel Axis Card

kartikk

TF Buzz
Hello,

I applied for the Airtel Axis card last year through the Airtel app in January, but my application was rejected. I asked them to reconsider via PNO mail, but they did not review the application again. However, they made two inquiries for the same card, one on January 3, 2024, and another on January 4, 2024. I requested them to remove one inquiry via the same PNO mail. Following this, I received a call from Axis Bank asking me to provide proof, so I sent a photo of the inquiries via email. However, I never received a response after sending the email. I also tried reaching out to the RBI, but they declined, stating that I had not registered a complaint with Axis Bank twice. Is there anything that can be done now, such as compensation😁?

You need a SR / Complain number older than 30 days which is not resolved or resolution is not satisfactory to approach RBI.
So, can I do anything now? I wrote them an email today asking for the removal of the inquiry and some compensation because it’s been more than a year now. And after that I might escalate to rbi but before I need to get a complaint number from axis right?

Well I seriously think they do not reply on their pno because they did not last year. Does anyone have an actual way to escalate this matter. I don't not have any axis Bank account so I can't complain here. Please help me with this. Thanks

Mail Axis PNO and ask him to remove the duplicate CIBIL enquiry. They have to do it within 30 days from your complaint. If they don't, then you can raise it with RBIO and you will get compensation of Rs. 100 per day for each day of delay beyond 30 days.

So actually I did ask them last year with the photo of the 2 enquiries but they never removed the enquiry neither did they replied to my mail . I only received a call from axis pno asking for 2 enquiries proof so it's been more than a year at this point and they literally ghosted me last year so it's like 36 thousand rs they owe me

That would be a very high rate of return on a card for which you were rejected.
Even those who were approved don't get anything remotely close!

Can you share that email here (hide personal details)

Where's your first mail? I am not sure if your second mail alone can be considered as a formal complaint because there are no details. I agree bank should ask for the details but maybe they can get away with it if you complaint to RBIO.
My first mail was of reconsideration of my airtel card appplication.

I applied for the Axis Airtel credit card on January 3rd, 2024, but my application was rejected. Then, I noticed two enquiries from Axis Bank—one on January 3rd, 2024, and another on January 4th, 2024. First, I wrote an email to the Nodal Officer and the PNO of Axis Bank on January 10th, 2024, requesting reconsideration of my application. The PNO responded, denying the request, citing internal policies. I then replied to the PNO asking them to remove the extra enquiry from my CIBIL report. I received a call asking for proof of the two enquiries, so I sent them an image of the two enquiries on my CIBIL report. However, they never replied to any of my emails. I became frustrated and eventually gave up on pursuing the removal of the enquiry. So this the story can anything be done? Sorry for the previous messages I was outside so couldn't reply in detail. @sjmajumder
