Requested Axis Bank for enhancement of Credit Limit. They replied back asking for the expected CL.

If my current CL is close to 75000, how much enhancement can I expect from them?

I did send a statement of my Amex Card which has a limit of close to 8.5L, but it seems they do not do limit enhancement on C2C basis.

Axis did a complete check on me when I requested a credit limit enhancement. They even sent someone to my address to verify where I lived, and took names and contact details of my neighbours. Then they ended up rejecting my request because they couldn't verify my office location. I am a permanent WFH employee for a company in the US. This is my oldest card btw, got it 8 years ago when I was still a student. I think I have received just one limit enhancement so far.

This sounds like some loan recovery incident 😂

Never taken a loan, or missed a payment. This was a bizarre experience. Let's see how my RM explains this the next time he calls me to sell some investment scheme.

Your office address should match salary slip. Otherwise they won't increase the limit. Regarding re-verification, If your account is old, they do re-kyc.

From the conversation one thing I understood is that LE for me would be like robbing a bank
as neither I have a salary slip nor an ITR
also I don't even have a residence proof of my communication and residence address.

This is my first post here. I got this forum as a suggestion from google news.

I have a similar experience from Axis. In April 2022, I got a pre-approved offer and took My Zone card with a limit of 75K. Post three months, I got an upgrade offer and took a Flipkart card, and the limit is shared.


Now I have been trying for LE for the last 3 to 4 months. Every time I raise a request, they ask me to update my work address on my credit cards with the help of the phone banking team. Nearly I have made 8 service requests to update my address. The eery time I receive your request is processed successfully, but the address doesn't get updated.

The payslips mention my complete home address. But the company I work for does not have an Indian address. They kept asking me where the company was located in India.

they will ask itr with acknowledgement reciept and also need Form 16A and 16B or P&L Computation sheet. I provided them form 16A and itr with acknowledgement. still they denied. asking for for 16B. from where should I get it??
