Axis Bank CC Limit Enhancement

Requested Axis Bank for enhancement of Credit Limit. They replied back asking for the expected CL.

If my current CL is close to 75000, how much enhancement can I expect from them?

I did send a statement of my Amex Card which has a limit of close to 8.5L, but it seems they do not do limit enhancement on C2C basis.

My experience on limit enhancement.

I got my first pre-approved card My zone (first ever credit card with cibil score of 2) from Axis 4 years back with handsome 6 digit limit.

After a year, got 25% increase and then nothing in remaining 3 years.

Meanwhile, I upgraded to privilege, took Flipkart and magnus card cards, closed privilege card and took select card. All were issued with same limit (shared).

My spends were never crossing 30% of limit, so I was not much worried about limit.

Now few days back, I sent them mail asking double limit. They asked for Work address (this itself took 2 weeks as my work address was somehow wrong in their records and needed update), 3 months salary slip, salary account statement, One glance statement (from burgundy savings account) and did cibil hard enquiry.

Finally, after almost 3 weeks of initial request, they have increased my limit by 100% as I had requested on all 3 cards (shared). Now it crosses my DCB limit and becomes highest among all my cards 😁. And Cibil will think it as 3x increase, as it doesn't know about shared limit.

Does this match the below estimates?

Net salary
1.2L - 1.5L ≅ 3L (verified)
1.5L - 2.0L ≅ 5L (unverified)
2.0L - 2.3L ≅ 7L (verified)
2.3L - 2.6L ≅ 9L (kinda verified)
2.6L - 3.0L ≅ 10L (maybe)

My net salary was varying quite a lot in 3 months. March had some LTA leftover. April was usual. May had big bonus component and increased salary. And in statement, June had one more bonus.

Also my net salary has huge deductions for ESPP, PF and NPS. Plus Bonus (and RSU) components (not part of salary slip) are comparable to rest of the salary. So I had shared one CTC Payslip of March as well, which captured all of them.

I don't know finally what number they considered as net monthly salary. If I go by lowest or average net salary of 3 months, it doesn't match (limit is higher). If I go by highest, then it is close (limit is lower).

Thanks for the input 👍

I got an axis app-based CL enhancement offer on my Magnus card. The new limit is 50% higher at Rs. 15 lakhs.

However, my other Axis cards still have the same limit of Rs.. 10 lakhs.

You can try mailing to PNO requesting for credit limit merger. mostly, they won't do it in the first attempt but keep trying as after 2-3 emails they will definitely match the limit of the highest card to all the cards you have.

You are requested to check the thread by @TechnoFino by search "Axis Limit Merger".
