Axis Bank Credit Card Rejection - Need Advice

TF Buzz
Axis Bank credit card is getting rejected again and again. This is the 4th time. Now I will have to wait for 6 months again. CIBIL was also good 770 and no late payment bus utilization was 29%. And when I asked the customer care about the reason they said bank's internal policy. I am self-employed. 8 lakh ITR. I went to the branch and asked they said I am self-employed that's why I am facing problems. Open the account by giving a cheque of 5 lakhs. I will give you the credit card immediately. Someone tell me what should I do now? Will I get a pre-approved offer in 3 to 6 months by opening a normal account?

I have 3 cards of Axis, i.e Flipkart, ACE & Airtel, I also faced the same problems on like you before but I applied it through the executive who are calling your phone to gives you several bank various cards offer. Accidentally I was saved someone one of them executive and later call them for my purpose and they applied with their referral code on the application for process. After 3 months back to back I got all of 3 cards on AXIS.
Can you give me the number of that executive. Agli bar uske through hi apply karunga.

Apply any SBI co-Branded card like BPCL or SimplyClick through Petrol pump guy & Some agents who are available at Malls or shopping centre you'll get your card immediately
Make sure to at least apply after 35 days of ur last Rejection

Try applying Flipkart axis card, I got rejected by axis. But I got approved for Flipkart axis card after 6 months and I got preapproved axis neo LFT after 6 months..

Just open a normal savings Axis account and use it for a few months. You will get pre-approved Axis credit Cards with free Myzone and Neo.

I already have 3 credit card. I have been using Flipkart card since 2021. I haven't received any offer on the same. I opened my savings account on 6th Feb. I got Upgrade offer on Flipkart within 2 weeks.

Drop email to Nodal officer if he didn't approve drop to pno if he don't approve drop mail to RBI after 30 days of their last email response mentioned that they're not telling u the exact reason behind the back to back rejection
Kuch dino baad card Approved hoga n Compensation milega jo alag

Bro Today I got a reply from the nodal officer. He said that my card was rejected due to low CIBIL score. Whereas my CIBIL was 770. what is the minimum CIBIL require?
And should I mail the PNO for reconsideration.

They used the word CIBIL or credit score? Maybe check your Experian score once as well.

If your CIBIL is 770, then they are simply giving any random reply for rejection so there is no sense in going that road further.
If you like you may ask them again in the same thread about eligibile score, as 770 is more than enough.

Yes, do mail PNO without citing this reply from nodal. Lets see what reply PNO will give.
Hoping PNO is unaware of reply from nodal, I think the rejection reason might be different this time assuming no reconsideration.

This is FY end, unless there is something weird with the application, LTF cards should be easily accessible.

Which card are you applying for?

Yes they clearly mentioned CIBIL word in their reply. And I applied for axis bank Neo cc.

I am not too hopeful from PNO either.
Banks rarely considers as people in the back office are too arrogant to change the status quo.
I dont think they even are revisiting the application but rather blindly copy pasting replies from clipboard.

Likely you have to approach RBIO, but lets hear from PNO once.

RBI also cannot do anything as approval and denial are decided by bank .

Like you said, Right now I am going to ask them how much CIBIL score they need. Let's see what their response is. I don't think they will reply. And By the way thanks.

That's not true entirely.

You can search the forum and might easily find many cases where people approached RBIO for card rejection with unjust reasons/response and their card was approved after intervention.

This case might not be as strong because Axis bank has already given a reason and their internal BO does not consider the OP creditworthy. However, many things depends on the RBIO person handling the case.
Sometimes Bank's acknowledgement of RBIO complaint can trigger reconsideration as well.

Such cases are hit and try, but not entirely baseless for RBIO to intervene.

Unlikely. PNO might also not help but still you can try. No need to open savings account with Axis, but its your choice. I would suggest not to engage with Axis except for credit cards.
RBIO will also not most likely work in your case, but if its not much trouble, you should atleast file a complain.

Also, for improve changes in cases like yours, its better to apply credit card via bank's credit card department personnel/agent, especially near FY end.

Yes. Nodal&pno are from another escalation only. They simply mentioned the rejection reason as"less cibil score" whether it's true or not . We don't have any proof to substantiate the claim. So RBI can't do anything on the" rejection reason " issue as the approval /decline are purely the discretion of bank

Most likely they won't tell the CIBIL score that's needed for being eligible, but that can be added as a point about non transparency in the process.

Banks share the eligibility criteria for a card mentioning salary/IT and customers apply based on that criteria and CIBIL is part of it.
If they are rejecting on the basis of CIBIL criteria and if they are keeping the number as secret by citing policy then this adds lack of transparency in the process.
Assuming they dont tell the score needed, this point might help in the case.

Also I hope you understand that this is now more like a learning process rather getting the card at this point.
