Axis Netbanking working fine, but Axis Mobile App not getting activated. Strange...

For a few years now, I am using both Axis Netbanking and Axis Mobile App to keep track of my Axis CCs.
I do not have other banking relationships with Axis.

Netbanking works flawlessly on PCs/Laptops/Tablets/Phones - without any problem whatsoever till now.

Mobile App was working smoothly till recently - on all my previous phones - all on Android.

But, since I replaced my Google Pixel 6a with GOOGLE PIXEL 9PRO, in SEP24 in USA, this Axis Mobile App
has stopped working on the latest phone.

Except this App, all other Apps (Banking, Govt, tools, utilities, mail, games, maintenance, productivity Apps)
are working fine. Some needed re-installation, some needed re-validation of device and many needed to send
SMSs to get activated. So, all that was done without any problem from USA for all other Apps (over 100), except
for this Axis Mobile App.

Even after returning to India, it does not get installed. Even if un-installed and re-installed afresh, the device is
getting identified but not moving beyond that. It shows 3 options to login. First option - Mobile OTP option is
disabled (as it says the needed details are not there on their system). Second option - login by using Netbanking
user-id and password. Despite giving working user-id and password, it does not proceed by saying incorrect
credentials. But, with the same credentials, I can login thru the same mobile phone and browse my card details.
Third option - login by using debit card details. As I do not have a SB account and thereby a DC, this option is
of no use to me.

I tried all known and usually followed steps - like un-installing, restarting the mobile, downloading it afresh and
re-installing it, disabling wi-fi, other (Jio) SIM......

Nothing works.

Anyone faced this sort of wierd thing ? Probably, the only way now is to go to the nearby Axis branch and do
something about it. Like ensuring that their system has all my details - so that the above indicated First option
can be used (i.e. getting Mobile OTP).

Any suggestions ?

Try the following:

1. Ensure your phone's software and Axis Bank Mobile app are up to date.

2. Try Clear app Cache and Data. Settings > Apps > Axis Bank Mobile > Storage > Clear Cache

3. Remove your SIM card (No. registered with Axis) and put it back in the primary SIM slot.

Was Pixel 9PRO purchased in the USA?

The latest Google Pixel 9Pro purchased in USA in 09/2024.
My two earlier phones were also Pixel phones - 4a(5g) and 6a - both purchased there. All OS and App updates are first updated immediately - first always on Pixel phones - since many years.

Airtel SIM is electronic SIM. Jio SIM is physical and always in slot 1. They were like that since many years now.

No issue with ANY OF THE 100+ Apps I use. About 16 bank Apps and 21 buy-n-payment Apps.... All working without any issue. All mmigrations from 4a(5g) to 6a and then to 9Pro are with least delay/problems.

Except AXIS MOBILE APP, everything else is working fine.

Did all that you have suggested. No luck.

The axis Bank app was very stable and perfect till 6 month back. If I am remembering, a new update came four months back and all problems started . The app will start asking OTP verification every time . After some time, it was ok. When I was trying to log in app yesterday, it was asking mobile number . After giving the details, it worked. Totally unstable app now

Then most likely it's an Axis Bank app/Axis Bank related issue. Have you tried contacting customer service?
