Axis Vistara Infinite : Faster upgrade to Gold Tier.

Hi everyone,

I had a first hand experience when applying for the Axis Vistara Infinite Credit card which I don't think has been previously mentioned anywhere in this community/forum so wanted to share.

I was approved for the card in the third week of Dec and received on 28th Dec (FYF offer). Subsequently, The card was billed with the membership charges + GST (Rs. 10,000 + Rs. 1,800) on 30th Dec.

As I'm scheduled to travel by Vistara in mid January in the Mumbai - Hyderabad sector, I wanted to experience Gold tier privileges. So just as an experiment, I immediately paid the membership charges in advance without waiting for the monthly billing cycle which would happen in end of Jan 2023.

Success! I received an email yesterday regarding my Vistara tier being upgraded to Gold (within 1 week of receiving the Card). Also recieved the first complimentary Business Class ticket voucher.

I followed this thread and got Gold tier even before statement generation as guided. In fact complimentary upgrade vouchers are also reflecting on CV account. However, for multiple transactions done between Dec 30th and Jan 12th, I haven't got any CV points. Is that normal?

My card issue date was Dec 30th and my first statement generation date is Jan 22nd.

u will get cv points only after bill generation.

Can someone please explain the business class voucher that you get after joining fees payment. I want to know more about the conditions and how to use that voucher to book business class tickets. Accordingly I will apply for this card.

You know the TnC for every benefit is listed on their website? No matter how bad your Google-fu skills are, it would have been the first hit as long as you type Vistara Infinite.

ALWAYS do your homework and look at it yourself, you could and will be given wrong advise/info.

And not just that, people apply for cards without doing proper homework then they come and rant because it doesn't "work" for them:
  • Vistara doesn't fly at all to the city where you live
  • Vistara doesn't fly business class to the city where you live
  • Trying to book flights on a busy route during holidays even months ahead (and certain routes are busier all year round)
  • Expecting to be able to book the flight in ANY date you want and on whichever flight you want
  • Expect to be able to upgrade multiple flights in a single itinerary
  • Etc

I was thinking of redeeming points for travel on some particular dates in Feb DEL to BOM but the statement won’t be generated by those dates so the points won’t be transferred to CV account by then. Tricky to hold plans for this particular trip as reward ticket may not be available just a couple of days prior on this Sector.

I received my Gold tier upgrade and the Business class voucher after the payment of the joining fees but I got only two upgrade vouchers. I thought one gets 3 upgrade vouchers when you’re a new applicant right?

How long after you paid the joining fees did it take for your tier to be upgraded? I paid mine yesterday and still waiting for upgrade.
