Axis Vistara Infinite : Faster upgrade to Gold Tier.

Hi everyone,

I had a first hand experience when applying for the Axis Vistara Infinite Credit card which I don't think has been previously mentioned anywhere in this community/forum so wanted to share.

I was approved for the card in the third week of Dec and received on 28th Dec (FYF offer). Subsequently, The card was billed with the membership charges + GST (Rs. 10,000 + Rs. 1,800) on 30th Dec.

As I'm scheduled to travel by Vistara in mid January in the Mumbai - Hyderabad sector, I wanted to experience Gold tier privileges. So just as an experiment, I immediately paid the membership charges in advance without waiting for the monthly billing cycle which would happen in end of Jan 2023.

Success! I received an email yesterday regarding my Vistara tier being upgraded to Gold (within 1 week of receiving the Card). Also recieved the first complimentary Business Class ticket voucher.

Hope this helps.

As per my personal experience, upgrade vouchers are almost useless.
I was never given upgrade when I asked to upgrade using vouchers,
1. Almost 45 days ago or
2. 6 hours before the flight.

They asked us to wait at counter, If seats are available 1 hour before departure, they will upgrade.

My all upgrade vouchers are expired.

Oh
Is it
So upgrade vocuhers can only be used at counter and not online ?

Is this booking to be made from vistara directly or we can use MMT or Yatra also ?
The 10CV points for 100 Rs spent is for all kinds of spend on Vistara, which is a Gold Tier Benefit. That is irrespective of which card is being used or where it was bought (it can be Vistara direct or OTAs or even offline).
But additionally 6 CV points per Rs 200 can be earned by using Infinite CC.

Almost any PNR is eligible for upgrade (may be except LITE fares, which hardly is made available). These PNR can be by CV points, Vistara direct or OTAs.
For Upgrade vouchers, the original flights were booked directly on Vistara or some 3rd party like MMT/Yatra before using the upgrade voucher on Vistara? Can you please confirm.

Yes. Multiple times.
First use the redeem points and see whether business class tickets for the sector you want to travel is available on the specific date. If available, then generate the Voucher and go for the voucher redemption.
Exact process. This will show availability of award seats in any class. Business class has 2 award seats that one can book in advance. Further, once at airport checkin one can try to get upgrade using upgrade vouchers or points.

Recently, 4 of us flew in business class. 2 with business class vouchers, 2 tickets booked in Premium economy using points, later upgraded to Business using upgrade vouchers.

A few days. Within a week.
Although u paid it should get cleared and funds applied to your card. Only then they will upgrade. It will take 3 to 4 working days to for funds to hit axis account as per normal.cycle from your card to their account and once they receive application of funds happen on fifo basis in bulk. It will be quicker if u pay by Axis account directly to axis card if u pay by other bank it will take some time although some are instant. If not call axis care and inform they will do it asap.or tell you by when it would. When I called for my spend based to check how much more I have to spend they informed I already spent 1lkh. And after a day it was credited 10k points. It is always best to call care if it is delayed

I received Vistara Infinite card last month and although I provided my CV number, Axisstill generated another one for me. While I initially thought of merging the two, I think may actually be better to hold two CV IDs since I am already a gold member and get 3 upgrade vouchers on account of that. I will now end up getting 2 additional upgrade vouchers through the Infinite Card.

Sounds great theoratically!

I have spend over 10L on the card (paid stamp duty for a relative's house purchase) but also deposited a same amount (no outstanding currently) before the first statement generation. I confirmed with the CC that 10k CV points are credited but I can't login to my new Vistara account (get a message that CV ID does not exist). Could it due to same name/ DOB/ phone/ email on two accounts or does the CV ID gets activated only after the first statement gets generated? Axis and Vistara CCs are clueless.

Thanks for any inputs!

Did you check your original account as well? Like everyone else, I think it's the two accounts that's causing the problem. Even it it isn't, I don't think keeping two accounts is a good idea anyways, whether it's today or tomorrow you risk getting both of them blocked.

Original account is as usual - no issues with it. I don’t intend to keep two accounts forever, but only to take initial advantage of additional 2 upgrade vouchers - and I believe nothing illegal in it, as it obviously is Axis’ mistake that they created a duplicate ID!

In any case, my first statement will get generated tomorrow, and will soon come to know.

Well hope it works out well for you but... no matter who was in the wrong here... you stand to lose.... if nothing else the time wasted to chase them to fix it if things go wrong.

You would have received extra vouchers in any case
Now, you will have to ask Axis to transfer CC to the existing CV ID. They will issue a replacement card with the existing CV ID and new CC number
