BBD and GIF deals thread

So, you will cancel the Debit EMI ???

Keep us updated about DCEMI cancellation Procedure
Actually, thinking of not closing...Why

1) I want to keep it for about 3 months until I get a better Credt Card offer.
2) I found a way ,with out cancellation we can get the benefit.. I read somewhere here, that, if we just prepay the loan without forclosing the loan..
so that we wont need to pay anything and it wont dedcut any EMI.until the 18 months is finished.

I am thinking of doing this.. what do you say?

See here @NShah was claiming we wont get charged for EMI monthly if we fully pay the full loan amount and not foreclose...

@NShah , could you please confirm? will this be applicable on Debit Card EMI as well??

Its DC EMI.

Last year I availed it.

Soon You will See a Seperate Card number , especially generated for DC EMI Loan in HDFC MOBILE APP under Credit Card Tab.

It will deduct First Instamallent and Processing Fee on 5th of next month and then every month , installments will be deducted automatically on 05th of every Month.

You can not Prepay in Case of HDFC DC EMi, since Funds will be debited from your Savings Account directly on every 05th of the month🤣

You have to Either Foreclose/Cancel it for Payment in one Shot.

Now , after few days when it starts reflecting in Mobile App, contact Customer Care over the call and ask them , what type of closure they are offering i.e, Foreclosure or Cancellation.

Okay thanks for the insights... I will let you guys know , what is going to happen...
If there is no option to pay fully later after 3 months, then I will opt for cancellation in the next few days only...

Actually this is my first EMI transaction..
I never did CC EMI or DC EMI..

I chose this DC EMI mainly because of the Pre-approved CC offer.. I am expecting a better CC offer now..

You can pay in full any time but you have to request for cancellation/Foreclosure.

You are thinking to keep to active for 3 months, after three Months only Foreclosure is possible and you have to Pay 3-4% of Current outstanding at that time.

Why to pay 3-4% unnecessarily ???

and In first 3 EMI you also pay interest.

Do not dig a pit for yourself🤣

Why to pay 3-4% uncessarily ???

I understand what you are saying..

You said another account will be created for this consumer durable loan showing the outstanding balance everymonth..
Can we not pay in to this account manually ??

Yes, you can pay from HDFC App.

but this will just create a Negative Balance in that Account and Future EMIs will get adjusted from that Balance and any remaining Amount will Hit your Savings Account on 05th of Every Month.

Furthe EMIs will include interest too and may be GST on Interest. So You will lose the NCEMI discount of 5k, if you continue with EMI.

I am not sure on GST part, since I do not remember , whether it was charged in my case or not.

@harsh1387 and others...

At the end, Bought Sony 55 inch X74K for 42,857 (including NCEMI discount of 5,632) on HDFC Debit Card No Cost EMI...

I think it is a good deal...

I bought it thru Cash Karo which is giving 2.5% back i.e. around 1K back...
I bought it on your favorite, Amazon....

What do you guys think ? is it a good deal??

Excellent deal if your NCEMI on debit card gets cancelled. Even if it's not cancelled and you continue the emi still makes it a very good deal. Congrats 👍

You said before this BBD sale, it was going for 53k offline..
I still think we can get this offline for 51 or 52 k.. considering that, its a great deal

53k offline was for X75L.
X74k was available for 46k in Prime day sale in June as well.

Anyways, doesn't matter. You got a good tv at a good deal.
Off topic, do you still want to buy iPhone 14+
If you have sbi cb card you will get it around 60.5 k

ICICI used to report DCEMI as a separate account in CIBIL. Does HDFC also do the same?
