Guys need some suggestions. Planning to buy 1.5 ton 5 star AC. Have two brands in mind Carrier or LG. If you recently purchased an AC from these brands please do share your experience. Thanks!

I purchased carrier.

LG is overpriced for me, less cooling capacity & less noise i.e. silent operation also.

Except LG & samsung, no brand had specific service centre, so I choose carrier which has third party service centre providing service to Carrier, Voltas, IFB, etc

I also have a carrier since 10 years but a local service guy suggested LG since he said LG has improved.

P.S. his review is mostly unbiased. Won't do this for commission. Plus I anyways would buy online.

The difference in models is 3.5k ish

Depends on usecase bro.

I purchased 3 star thinking I'll use 8-9 hours only.

And now using 18 hours daily (atleast).

So take 5 star in such cases (preferably more iseer rating)

I will surely take 5 star. It's too hot here and AC would be used for longer duration.

I bought LG 5 star 1.5 tonne last year..
Overall okay..
Carrier used to be good before, now it is also sort of okay..
LG 5 star is definitely power efficient, but cooling wise if your room is correctly sized and sealed properly it works great.. there won’t be regrets.. but it is definitely not the best out there in quality wise..
But for the price you are paying it is a good deal

Are you buying for top floor (direct to sun) ? If yes
Yes, which one do you suggest.

What exactly are the cons for LG and carrier you are aware of? And which brand do you suggest other than this?

Carrier is 39k, LG is 43k for 1.5T 5 star
