BBPS payment for HDFC card not reflecting

Hi,

I had more than 2 L bill on my hdfc credit card.

I made two part payments through paytm by entering custom account and it was instantly credited today on my Hdfc account.

Third and final payment of 50k plus was successful too and got bbps reference number but still showing pending on hdfc card account. Unable to track transaction status on bill desk as it says try later.

All 3 payments were done through UPI.

Anyone have experienced the same. Any timeline for amount to reflect on my hdfc account ?

Thank you.

Does the third payment result in excessively excess payment in your hdfc account?
It is waiting on HDFC to get settled , if it is too much excess payment it may fail and gets refunded. If not it will get settled soon , don't worry. Either way you will find your answer soon.

It was not excess amount. It's within total overdue amount. As each bank upi has 1 L limit for 24 hours, I did 3 transactions today with different bank UPI.

First of 90k+, which instantly get credited. Second was nearly similar and got credited instantly.

Third one was of 50k+ which was successful but not credited yet & shows pending on hdfc account. Only when it gets credited, total overdue will become zero.

If it is not excess payment , and if you have got success message with bbps ref number then just wait, you will have answer very soon and mostly by EOD today.

If your payment amount is even ₹1 above the billed amount then it would fail.
Fail in the sense that transaction will be successful, money will be debited, you will even get bbps reference number but it won't be credited to your card account.
If this is the case then money is refunded automatically to the source account. It can take anywhere near from few hours to 5 days.

I suggest you to check the total amount due on your card and check if your 3rd payment was within this amount.

You can check total amount due from HDFC App, under Cards section select your card and there you will see Total Amount Due above the unbilled transactions.

Transaction amount was exactly the total amount due. Not even 1 Rs more.

Will wait for couple of days to get update. Have reached out to bbps team on twitter & raised complain through their website.

You should also raise a ticket with paytm.

Excess payment will never get added in cc account as per new norms and bank has capped to per day transaction limit, so you pay excess also and try to swipe it won't work

Didn't paid 1 rs more than total overdue. It was exactly same figure fetched by bbps.

Paytm says it's success and they have confirmation of hdfc receiving amount. I have invoice of successful transaction with bbps reference number.

Asked me to wait for 3 working days for amount settlement.
