My mother is a housewife (no income) so i can pay it to her account right? Small or large amount should not matter right?
Also, do rent transactions count for spend based welcome benefits of hdfc cards?
I recently got Regalia Gold and i can get welcome benefits by spending Rs1 Lakh within 90 days

Yes but don't go above 40-50k and don't do this regularly
Stay out of rent, extra charges applicable by every bank.
In case of HDFC stay out of housing app. Both education & rent transactions are attract an extra charge and you will get nothing as reward point.
If she has no income then you can upto a certain amount (so it does not seem that she is evading tax)

SNAPAY pe try kar sakte ho but suna hai ki hdfc cards aren't going through on SNAPAY merchant.
Bharatnxt bhi option hai.
Before spending 1L carefully read t&c of your card for utility transactions. After so amount you have to pay extra charges.

Na karo to behtar hai but if you want can proceed further as gas/electricity utility DEPEND UPON WHICH CARD YOU WANT TO PROCEED THROUGH.
better use superpe(10k), ebix wallet (5k)

I stay in bangalore, anyway i have to pay rent around 30k to the landlord, so i will do 1 transaction this month for rent using housing (1st trx has zero fees).
Then again 30k rent next month using redgiraffe(has 0.39% fee only).
That covers 60k
Then i am thinking of transferring 30k around to my mother(she has no income) as education fee (regalia gold is giving RP on education until now).
Then 5k on NPS
Remaining 5k is already covered with normal day to day spendings

Coz sooner or later it will get highlighted that it's rotation... So as an emergency you could but I feel not regularly.
