Best Fastag after Paytm Fastag closure

Now that paytm fastag is shutdown, what are good choices for fastag?

The wallet + fastag combined offering from paytm was really good. Is there any other option like that?

So, it doesn't come with UPI QR as per new design guidelines. And though I applied for Amazon ICICI FasTag, there's no sign of Amazon on this tag. 😂

Hopefully this post may benefit. I was on Paytm FT for last 2-3 years and moved around Nov last year to Amazon ICICI fastag (primarily because it was giving some issues intermittently). Ordered on Amazon. FT got delivered in a week and have been using it since. 2-3 advantages i could see immediately.

1,. Using imobile app can recharge seamlessly using ICICI CCs without any charges. If you have multiple ICICI CCs you get pts as well i think. Apay anyway gives 1% as CB.

2. Apay tag can be used to pay for fuel loads at petrol pumps (have heard this but not used it till now as i have a normal fuel CC card anyway)

3. Many recharge offers on Park+ do work and there are no exclusions like paytm and airtel fastags.

4. ICICI have a detailed fastag portal - https://fastaglogin.icicibank.com/ - was surprised to see so much work behind this and was impressed with ICICI bank developers for doing this. Whether useful or not is another matter but it did look good once logged in.

Negatives: You can't withdraw the wallet balance to bank like Paytm which many used to do i guess.

Overall happy with the Amazon icici fasttag

I load this for not more than 3k-4k per month depending on usage on tolls while going to office. Amazon gives a total pts credit on the stmt. If i get 1% its in there. My understanding is AZ ICICI hasn't got any condition that it excludes. However if it is not giving it is my gift to AZ and ICICI for Rs. 40 each month. Who cares!! I'm not a commercial owner anyway!!

I am using icici Fastag since 4 years. I have not received any cashback. It was issued when I bought my car and I have linked it in my iMobile. Can anyone confirm if they get 1% back?

I only remember that there was some limited time offer when they gave some cashback.

I also did not realize that there was some many feature in different Fastags.

I think both are same as I didn't find any extra feature offered for Amazon ICICI tag. But I just got for that 1% cb feature, and tbh this doesn't matter to me now as one can recharge using Amazon Pay gift card balance.

I am not sure whether you can manage it through iMobile. But I am sure you can manage any ICICI tag (issued by PhonePe/Amazon etc.) through eToll app.

That's a common wallet which you can use to recharge your FasTags (if you have multiple).

Checked on PhonePe, they are issuing the ICICI Bank Fasttag with deduction from wallet facility, which we have to opt while applying from the PhonePe app.

does it mean that if we recharge fast tag the amt will get added to phonepe wallet?...did you order this kind of tag?

No... It's means you can add money in phonepe wallet and the money paid at toll which be deducted from your phonepe wallet.. u don't hv to recharge your fastag separately...

I raised request 2 days back,still shows closure initiated only. It may take few days.

Meanwhile, I have applied for ICICI Fasttag & its generated. After confirming closure of old tag, I will use new one once I receive it.

My Paytm fasttag is finally closed. Security deposit refunded in wallet. Now I can use my ICICI fast tag.

Requested closure on 6th February, closed & money refunded on 15th February.
