Best Health Insurance Practically

Seriously!! are they better then others ?
My father purchased this insurance for me a long time ago, it was previously known as apollo munich health insurance.
2 years before I researched this on ditto to change for better alternatives but didn't find any. I think HDFC Ergo is one of the best.
I have optima restore but you may check optima secure.
I know Optima restore provides Pre And Post Hospitalisation (All your pre-hospital admission expenses up to 60 days, and post-discharge expenses till 180 days are included.)
Additionally, you can compare plans here on ditto as well: https://joinditto.in/health-insurance/compare-plans/
I was hospitalized for 9 days and took a private room. The bill was around 1.2L and they reimbursed around 1.17L as some things (don't remember now) don't fall under the criteria for reimbursement.

Ditto is a good insurance advisor. They give us pros and cons, and give us comparison.
No compulsion to buy. They don't charge you anything. And you need to buy your policy yourself.
I have used their help 5-6 times. I have also referred friends , relatives, and all were happy with their advice.
I have absolutely no relation to Ditto.
Ditto also recently started helping in claims too.
I have not used help with claims, but if you need help to claims may be try them in future.
Totally not like policybazaar harassment.

fyi, @Pavan please check this out

i have seen Csr for these policies in hospital first hand
so i wouldnt argue with you over the market gimmics and reviews over the youtube
you can go with whichever policy you want in the end its all about CSR so i know what i am talking about.

hahah man, I just shared my experience with you and the man in the video as well. It is up to you. In the end, you are not going to help someone out with a claim, do you?

Didn't get you? Isn't the premium for aspire (for particular age slab and SI) fixed and standard as shown in niva Bupa website? Or we can still get at lower premiums than directly buying on niva Bupa website

Insurance is IRDA governed - nothing materiality changes from company to company but choose brands you trust..

Most important: Read the policy t&cs before you opt - decide what you need and what you can avoid..

Premium cannot go lower than what is on website for health insurance.. Intermediary may give some discount sometimes for yr 1 frm their budgets... Car / Home insurance etc can be different at different places.. for health the negotiation is almost 0 from the web price

Niva Bupa is a horrible company when it comes to service.. I have personally experience and heard many incidents.. They are aggressive at selling / design good products BUT don't live up to the promises.. make it v v difficult for customers..AVOID

My brother is suffering from Epilepsy. He was diagnosed with this in 2012 and he is regularly taking medication so fortunately he hadn't had seizures in last 6 years.
I tried searching health insurance for him, but couldn't find anything promising. If anybody has any leads which insurance provider can provide health insurance with this existing condition, please help me share details / contacts.

Have you tried talking to the Ditto/Beshak team and getting an idea of the options that can be availed? It may be a good start.

I've heard they ask breakup of room charges whereas in policy room charges is payable without any capping.

Talk to Beshak, they will assign you with a genuine and experienced insurance advisor and then you can discuss your case with them.
I recently took health policy from an experienced insurance advisor and I was pretty impressed with his knowledge and understanding.
If you want to talk to him, please dm.
Please note, I am not earning anything out of it.
