Check out these special premium rates of icici lombard which you can get if you apply through branch only for icici customers
Thanks a lot for this. Just purchased this with 50L cover for 1/3rd the price of my renewal with ICICI Lombard through AmEx for 15L cover.

Policybazzar has offered me below two offers, which looks really lucrative
Need expert advice on these

1. They will get additional loading on premium waived off based on their relations with insurance company
They are giving this guarantee before buying the policy
(Additional premium is generally loaded for aged people based on their medical condition)
My existing insurance is with Icici lombard which i am porting now, they had added 50% loading when i bought this policy so most likely new company will also add some loading hence this looks good offer to me

2. They are providing no cost emi for 18 months, I am thinking to take that offer and cancle the emi as we do to reap NCEMI benefits from Amazon/Flipkart

P.s. I have read bad reviews for policybazzar, I spoke with the get more idea about porting

I am also gone discuss these with Ditto executive

I am comparing Star Health Comprehensive and Care Supreme now, if you have any opinions on these, pl. let me know

But I find this policy bazaar offer good but fishy too. How can policy bazaar waive the loading fee , there must be some catch. I hope all medical conditions will still be reported to them and waiting period need not be served or extended after porting

On a different note, I am looking to purchase a health insurance for myself, which is the best in your opinion from the following brands
Niva Bupa, hdfc ergo, icici Lombard, care.

(Not considering premium but only the easiness and probability of getting claims paid and one that survives in the long term)

I too think loading waiver as fishy hence before any further proceedings I will get everything from them in writing and will completely study the underwritten policy (if at all i proceed with them)

PEDs are well written on my existing policy (icici Lombard) so will ensure those get reflected on new policy

Waiting period wont be applicable for me as i have already completed 4 years with Lombard

Yeah that is what I meant, if they are not taking loading charges, then make sure that ped are declared fully and clearly in the docotr verification call and policy letter, also make sure that no( new) waiting period gets applied on them

Lombard won't recommend because they increased premium on my policy every by 40-50%
Hdfc ergo is renowned player and has good claim settlement ratio
Care is good package with less premium

I just recently started comparing them. Hdfc ergo I have heard good things but only in respect of claim settlement ratio etc.
Interesting, not much info here on niva Bupa, any reason it is not here on your discussions? Coz I have that their reassure 2.0 policy to start with.

It's very hard to decide because testimonials are rare to find because unlike other things, health insurance reviews are rare to find, as only 1 in a 100 might take a claim.

for some weird reason, insurance companies' HQ have a significant linking with the better service in that region. maybe due to strong foothold & better ties with hospitals.
Like any example you would like to present based on your experience?
Also which insurer would you rate the best for hospitala in NCR region?
