Best Way to pay Credit Card Bill

Guys I am redacting this post as I have been asked by the bank for non disclosure as mentioned in TnCs else my account would be suspended. They had asked me to remove this as this violates the TnC related to not getting reward points for CC payments.

I should first utilize HDFC Bank till 75K then RBL signature+ for 1L and then Indusind MC on CheQ for 1.125L then only switch to Visa signature Indusind for another 1.125L..
I guess you won't get reward if you use hdfc dc in cheq. So it's better to use indusind mc dc first and double dip

I have an HDFC CC bill of more than 6 Lakhs. Please suggest what method I should use to get max cashback. I am holding IDFC First Wealth and HDFC Millennia debit cards.

Millennia DC will only give up to Rs.400 and I'm not exactly sure about the rewards of IDFC First Wealth DC. Any other platforms/ apps for better rewards? Could someone suggest ways to pay this bill and how much total cashback I can expect on the whole bill amount?
Change the Millenia Debit card to Easy Shop Platinum and get up to 750 CB. You can also try opening another account and this way you will get another card. I wouldn't recommend opening Indusind account just for the CB because you need to maintain up to 1L in some branches. If you hold a legend credit card then open a select account, otherwise not worth it. IndusInd is notorious for charging NMC.

Thanks for your help.

My mom has Easy Shop Platinum so I was planning to use it along with Millennia. But does Easyshop Platinum card even give CB on Mobikwik now? I remember paying a CC bill using it on MobiKwik a couple of years ago but never received cashback.

I do have a Legend credit card as well. Is select account a zero balance account? But I was reading other posts and seems like opening account and getting the select card may take time as one needs to visit the branch and all and my bill's due date is just a week away 🤣 Any suggestions for getting this card sooner?

Sometimes it takes over a week to just lift debit freeze from a new account 😬😂

Yes, it's completely Zero Mab account as long as you hold the legend card. Use it for your next month statement if required and yes Easy Shop Platinum works on Mobikwik because MCC is utility now.

cash rate is only 0.2%. UBI gives unlimited 1% cash rate. Indus pioneer gives unlimited 0.5%.

Just adding other options. Axis looks good too but rate could have been higher as it is not cash rate. Getting only 0.8% for hotel or miles does not seem better than UBI 1% cash.
Burgundy DC and IndusInd Pioneer give RP for Wallet Reloads as well?

It seems Mobikwik has put a hard limit of Rs 20K per day per HDFC Debit Card. Earlier you can navigate around by splitting transaction but now you can't.

I tried using both HDFC Easyshop Rupay & Master Card variants.

Also both debit cards were used for the first time today. As other debit card's 75K limit was over

EDIT: I stand corrected. This 20K per day per card limit is only for first 24 hrs or so. I was able to use it for multiple transactions today.... 2-3 days later.

Hi, is the 750 per month cap on HDFC Platinum debit card as per calendar month? So if I do txn today on 1st June, it would be counted towards June limit.

Got the points. However wanted to try again to ensure Paytm does not change the MCC as I did not get for Visa card last time. However, when I check now, I get the old error for Mastercard as “this payment type is not allowed using Mastercard”.

So Bottomline is probably use MobiKwik which seems to be always utility MCC and works well with Mastercard.

Another update: Freecharge (using Axis pay dues) + Visa failed. Don’t see any points even after 6 days.
I got for visa on paytm

Paytm changes MCC. So test multiple times and you will see the issue.
Seems like I am lucky with PayTM.
I've been using my Visa Signature card since October 2022, and I received points based on the same formula they mentioned on the Indus website.
I keep a Google sheet to autotrack spends with a Google script and use a fn to calculate points. Month end, I verify the actual credited points vs. the calculated ones and redeem them.

You don't have to pay 20k, you can also pay anything less than 20 and still make payment. I did 20, 13 and 17 once to make 40k payment in one day and last month I did 20k 15k 20k 15k in one day

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I know about this and had used for my debit card earlier. It was for the new cards which I had added that I faced this issue.

As mentioned by me, in the edited post, and also as others replied to me here - this 20K total transaction hard limit is only for first 24 hrs (I will say initial 1-2 days) when you add HDFC debit card to Mobikwik for payment.

After this cool-off period, one can do multiple transactions of upto 20K each day.

This is so cool. Can you share the script etc? Noob there but would like to automate.

It still won't let you do repeated 20k for same card. It will let you 20k for different cards. After which it will spit out an error saying "repeated payment amount not allowed" or something.

Sure. Do you have any other scripts running?
