Devaluation BOB Card Introduces Spend Requirement for Free Domestic Airport Lounge Access

It’s BOB Card’s time now!
Effective from January 1, 2025, you’ll need to spend a specific amount using your BOB card to qualify for free lounge access at domestic airports in India.



I’d say BOB has kept the spending requirement very reasonable. Unlike other card issuers, like ICICI Bank, which require you to spend 1 lakh to get free lounge access, BOB’s requirement is well within reach.

Checking the list of eligible lounges for Bob cards in the document made me realise that new lounge opened at bagdogra airport, Siliguri was also in the list. I was happy and i was planning to use Bob hpcl too access it today, but they checked and told this card is not accepted. I saw the banner where list of banks were listed and indusind was one of them. So I tried my tiger card and it worked.
If they mentioned the take off bar and lounge is one of the lounges eligible to access from Bob cards then why was it not accepted?.
Is it possible that, w.e.f. 1 Jan 25 this lounge will be applicable?

Ya, try after 1st Jan, 2025. Also from next year you need to spend minimum 20k to eligible for Bob hpcl card.

Banks have put restrictions. On hdfc website infinia lounge access list also seems pale infront of this visa generic 74 list. As you rightly said someone who has tried can only confirm

Same for every card. At the end of the day its entirely 'lounge' decision to accept that card or not. Just because its in list, lounge no need to allow. Faced this multiple times and applies all banks &/ cards.

Some good news to share: the BOB Eterna credit card now includes access to the 080 VIP Lounge.

I tried accessing the 080 VIP lounge today at T2 using my Visa Eterna - the receptionist checked my card in the POS machine and said it is not accessible. I showed him this document from BoB and he said it was not yet updated in their system.
It might be available in few weeks time.
Then I used the regular 080 Dep lounge.

Some good news to share: the BOB Eterna credit card now includes access to the 080 VIP Lounge.

My Eterna Rupay just got approved today. What about issue of bank blocking the card for wallet transactions when loading such high amount?

Just wanted to convey my observation that once crowd for the LTF cards increase manifold, the offerings are scraped off or locked behind a paywall. The only exception being the IndusInd Legend - I still can't come to a conclusion how IndusInd is profiting out of this card.

Indus legend and pinnacle lounge has been devalued since last month. Earlier almost all lounges were a part of the program, now only few cities are there.
