Buying Amazon Pay GC with Infinia Smartbuy

Hi, I want to know fellow members' thoughts on maximising Amazon Pay gift cards. Every month I buy 20k worth of Amazon Pay gift cards from AMEX Multiplier to get 2.6k points on my Amex MRCC card. To maximise further, I was planning to buy 20k worth of Amazon Pay gift cards from Infinia's Smartbuy platform. The catch on buying from Smartbuy is that it charges 2.5%+GST which roughly comes to about Rs. 590.

I know the recent change does not allow partial payments for purchases on Amazon but my plan to use the balance is for insurance premiums and bill payments.
 
It seems even 5th November all transactions are missed. That hidden place which shows points on settlement day is still not showing. So, they have definitely changed something.

The one transaction for which u got the points, was it directly on website? Or all through payzapp?

Via smartbuy shows up in OTP message and OTP page and statement. But it doesn't show up in payzapp card selection page, payzapp transaction history and final debit sms.

But this is how it has been always. They have changed or messed up something in backend for payzapp transactions this month. I got points even for 29th October transactions.

They had raised a compliant which got closed without a resolution the following day. Upon further follow up, they shared the email ref. no. with which they are tracking the compliant. It's still in progress.

For me it's not much about the some points getting lost, although it's important, but transparency. If something has changed, we need to know even if it's a glitch regardless of the impact. Moreover, they usually close your compliant in a day or so just to meet their SLA and customers don't have any visibility into the resolution provided and the comments captured while closing the ticket...also there's no way you can reopen the ticket.
Upon enquiring about the resolution, CC mentioned that the comment captured on the ticket by the concerned team states that the offer was applicable on pre-paid wallet transactions 🤣 while those were straight Smartbuy transactions on card eligible for 5X...

few transactions are giving accelerated points and few have not been captured ... when i went to the payzapp transaction history and checked that few transactions showing only gyftr and some are showing gyftr via smartbuy... but while in unbilled statement all are showing as gyftr via smartbuy and otp also shows gyftr via smartbuy etc

still those transactions are showing just gyftr and not gyftr via smartbuy in payzapp transaction history, so the issue must be because of this

Have observed the same thing but I don’t think it’s because of that coz PayZapp is HDFC app and all the transactions were done via PayZapp. Also one of these transactions shows gyftr from SmartBuy for which the bonus points were not posted so don’t think that that’s the root cause.

yes but for me in cc unbilled statement all showing as gyftr via smartbuy

but when i go to the transaction in payzapp to take out the transaction id there i found out few transactions with only gyftr mentioned and few with gyftr via smartbuy

ones with smartbuy mentioned have given me bonus points already rest have not given thats why felt that this is the issue going on for the missing points i maybe wrong or can be something else no idea

Gyftr com has been there in last month as well in payzapp transaction history.
 
That's the issue then. I guess we will have to raise it to multiple levels🤦‍♂️.

Go to mobile app -> pay -> cards -> Infinia -> scroll to end -> Redeem reward points -> confirm -> click on top right -> My rewards -> View Reward history -> check accrued section after 12pm on settlement day.
woww looks like a treasure hunt🙂 , i only check in the statement and never noticed any issue.
 
I purchased flight tickets via payzapp via two different transactions on Saturday and got the normal points reflecting but no bonus points yet. My statement will generate tomorrow. Hoping the points will be credited. Otherwise usually, I would get a separate SMS per transaction when the bonus points are credited but haven't received any SMS for these two transactions yet.

Me too facing same issue
Did 2 transaction on 2nd of Nov on Payzapp for smartbuy amazon vouchers
Got Base points only
Contacted CC who said yes only base points can be seen for your transaction and said he will raise ticket
Ticket got closed the third day and no info how it closed
Followed up with CC again who said as per smartbuy guideline it will be credited in 90 days

I said this is usually credited in 3 days

He said they are working in it...
