Buying GOLD/Jewellery from Credit Card

Hi all,
Some of you may not have an idea about buying gold/jewellery via credit cards. I myself didnt have much idea until I purchased myself.

So recently I purchased jewellery from a big retail jeweller and swiped my cards at their POS machine. Following are the cards I used:
AMEX Smart Earn CC - Got 1 MR point/50rs without capping
AMEX Gold Charge Card - Got 1 MR point/50rs without capping
Indusind Visa Signature Debit Card - Got 125 points on spending 10K
Amazon ICICI Apay CC - Straight 1% cashback to amazon pay wallet

The point of this post is that there are many cards which dont give any reward points on buying gold/silver or any jewellery or atleast they mention that way in their T&C. I used the above cards at their physical store (not online purchase) and got all the due rewards without any issue.

Bonus Tip: Then added the above equivalent amount to Mobikwik Xtra and earned 12% p. a until my bill payment date. That way I kind of earned more money/value out of this transaction/strategy.

Another Bonus Tip: Paid all credit card dues a week before the due date (enjoyed 12%interest p.a until then without any issue!!!) via CRED via DEBIT CARD.
Since I used IndusInd Visa Signature Debit Card (Indus Partner Account. Neither Select, nor Exclusive), I got 3K points which is equivalent to around 1050rs cash redemption.
Basically if you pay your CC bill using Cred by your IndusInd Visa Signature Debit Card, you kind of get 1050rs per 1 lakh bill payment roughly per month per card.

No jeweller is going to weigh your BRPL coin when u go to sell or exchange it.They consider the weight that's written on coin or bar,so no probs.
They wont weigh when you sell thats true but suppose we exchange 10 coins of 1g and lets assume a positive weight balance average of 0.03g Then while selling if we ask to weigh it will be 10.3g not 10g

Thats the advantage of buying 1/2g of gold with positive weight tolerance

Small correction, BRPL weight tolerance is +/- 0.02 gms. Also, so far I have never heard/read any review that said the coin weighed below the mentioned weight
Besides MMTC PAMP, BRPL is one of the India's most trusted refineries and they have buyback policy as well. Kundan is also one of the renowed brand but often BRPL bars are priced at a lower price (~250 for a 2gm bar) compared to their competitors including kundan which makes it a more attractive buy

Sorry my mistake I thought it was +/- 0.5g anyway I am just saying if you buy Kundan or MMTC PAMP (way more costly) you always will have 1g plus whereas BRPL it might be less and if we exchange lets say 10-15 coins these add up so dont look at the small 90

Kundan 12,978

BRPL 12,945
proces change everyday, bought BRPL at Rs.12,825 (excl. ICICI discount) on 13th July. If there is no noticeable variation in the prices I choose BRPL any day because of it's brand name, reliability and quick delivery times (had bad experience with wait times of Reliance jewles and Melorra coins). Also, I donot buy for reselling purpose, it's part of my investment portfolio. As mentioned, I personally never faced any issue with weight of BRPL bars, officially it is +/- 0.02 gms but in reality they always weigh the same or on the positive side. Never bought anything from Kundan, so, can't comment on that

I've bought Kundan and MMTC PAMP really satisfied with both. If Kundan is available I always prefer it over MMTC PAMP even though MMTC is the best as they are almost at par with MMTC PAMP. On time delivery great packaging so really my preferred choice

Edit: Personally I dont like Mellora never tried with Reliance Jewels
