And if my guess is correct, usually account gets auto closed especially when PAN is not submitted, termed as mini KYC, account holder is required to change the KYC status from mini to full submitting the same.It's very confusing. Firstly try to get the cheque, and only after it get into discussion on why account was closed.
You can always do that later with RBI and ask for large compensation

So, it is impossible to re-open an account which is closed. You will need to open a fresh A/c, in that case.

Ye mini kyc related issue lag rha.. anyway.. my au bank account closed sane way.. sudden death.. but i don't had any money in that acc so didn't followed .. i had full kyc acc but Open online.. na koi mail aaya na call.. sudden acc closed

Mode of Account Opening: Online (No Txns performed)
Just a day after opening the account, it was completely blocked. When I visited the branch, they claimed that I had requested the freeze, which I hadn't.
To be honest, the employees at the branch were neither knowledgeable nor polite. However, this was purely my experience—your branch staff could be better or even worse, depending on the location.
Finally, I reached out to customer care and obtained the email ID of the Regional Nodal Officer. I emailed them, detailing all these issues. The next day, I received a call. Unfortunately, the response was rude, and they asked me to visit the branch again. I declined. Eventually, after two days, my account was unfrozen. I now use it only for small transactions.
Suggested Course of Action:
- Visit your home branch and politely inquire why your account was closed without your request.
- If they don’t provide a satisfactory response, request a DD or Banker’s Cheque for the unclaimed funds in your closed account.
- Once you receive your funds, call customer care to obtain the email ID of the Principal Nodal Officer ) or Regional Nodal Officer . Then, escalate the issue via email.
Update the status here once resolved.
- Banks usually block accounts if they detect suspicious activities, fraud, or illegal transactions, KYC issues but don’t close them permanently.
- In your case, it seems like a human error from the bank’s side. It’s essential to determine the actual reason.
