Issue Resolved Canara Bank Account Closed Without Any Reason — What’s Going On?

I got a call at 10 AM from the branch and the BM asked me to come and requested me only 10 minutes. He was saying that I don't need to panic and he's taking care of the thing. I visited the branch and met BM where he showed me that my account is reopened and funds are reversed with interests. He was saying that the account got closed automatically after one year of account opening because they didn't put a tick on the KYC Due Diligence 'CDD' while opening the account and it is a first incident in their zone. However, My debit card is gone and now I have to apply for it again. Though he promised me to reverse any issuance charges if it gets deducted. I could register on Ai1 app and verified through Aadhar for registration. It was completely their fault in the end. ]

Honestly pretty transparent situation altogether. I don't mind banks making mistakes it's the deceiving that gets me. Don't loose this account, you faced once in a decade issue and it got resolved properly, responsibly and with transparency. Pretty good for a PSU bank. If it were SBI, they would have given reasons like 'Aap Elon Musk k follower h na, isliye hack hogya'

And moreover if you try to scare SBI with RBI bamboo, there is always that one older employee in the branch who goes

char chawanni ghode pe aur RBI mere.......

the last line is an actual quote I heard from an almost 45-50 year old cashier when a seemingly frustrated student used the R word (RBI) after he was not able to encash his govt scholarship (the guy had no DC/UPI/netbanking, it's a rural branch). Prayagraj gangapar accent me.

The next line was (muh me paan, not that paan is bad but don't chew at workplace)

'Beta scholarship dilane RBI ka governor nhi ayega'

Unko bhi pata hai RBI BO mein incomptent aadmi bahare pade hai hamare region mein jo bolnge wahi sach ho jayega kis baat ka tension isi liye 👀

Case toh non appealable caluse mein band hona hi hai, thoda dabanag ham bhi ban le
