Tried, there its giving error that could not proceed with request. Looks like another bank visit. But seeing for first time this requirement of passport to enable international transaction 😀

I faced a similar issue while enabling international transactions for my RuPay Select Debit Card. I visited the branch with a photocopy of my passport. The staff at one of the counters updated the details in their system. By evening, I tried again and this time i did not faced any issue.

Maybe some kind of KYC issues with your account variant. Visit bank to know and share here also what the mess is all about.

So went to bank on Saturday and submitted customer information form along with passport copy. Today morning received sms that passport is updated and now I am able to enable international transaction. Not sure of the KYC part, I had opened the account online and it didnt asked for any passport details. just aadhar pan and other details.

Passport requirement is not needed for card intl txn enablement. As I said issue was something else with your account and it was definately regarding KYC part.

My email ID updation was having issues in Canara and I just did simple reKYC using Aadhaar at branch and it went away. Get your passport details removed after sometime.
