I faced a similar issue while enabling international transactions for my RuPay Select Debit Card. I visited the branch with a photocopy of my passport. The staff at one of the counters updated the details in their system. By evening, I tried again and this time i did not faced any issue.Tried, there its giving error that could not proceed with request. Looks like another bank visit. But seeing for first time this requirement of passport to enable international transaction 😀
