Can you please explain why there is a slightly less reward rate in brackets? any markup of yes bank flight portal?

It's for my personal reference, because I discount both domestic and international air tickets by 24%.
Since I always get 24% return buying air tickets with lifetime free Magnus Burgundy on Traveledge.

So, foreign online spends will get (6.00 x 0.76) - 2.07 = 2.49% return if you use points for booking flights, which is the best option.

Those who usually get 8---10% discount on air tickets using various credit cards on online travel websites can discount the return to that extent.

Kindly note that there would be no discounting if it was real cashback on HDFC infinia/Yes Marquee/Yes Reserve, etc

But since it is in the form of air tickets, which are available at discounts of 10 to 24%, you have to apply the correct discounting which you normally get, at best

I searched the cheapest Taj hotels in India and found some options under 10k/night with breakfast. That seems like a very good option just for the experience.

Depends on the property I guess. Mine had an option with breakfast.
