Guyz and Gals,

The Central Bank guy finally got it. I visited the branch just now (30 mins back) Got my passbook, cheque book request. The entire branch was unaware of the additional debit card. I called customer care and the 2-3 employees got to experiment. All that was needed was to select Cent Queen product code while applying the debit card for 2nd CIF ID and voila. Received SMS for debut card in 20 mins.

I also convinced the guy to open another joint account for my Mom with a considerable IP cheque (not forced, and I suggested it from my end) they agreed and were thankful. I took a few samosas for them as a thank you and they were all good. Now comes the wait for delivery fingers 🤞.
What is the cent queen product code for second dc apply?
Should it fill in physical form or it will be fill by employee in their computer?

Sharing the entire process,

1. I searched for a Central Bank Branch in the most posh area of my tier 2/3 city.
2. Went to branch and asked them to open the Cent Queen Account.
3. The branch employee started filling out the form. There is no separate code/form for Cent Queen. You have to inform them or just write at the top of the form.
4. Make sure you fill out your Email ID (you can't add it via net banking), and check Mobile Banking, SMS Alerts, Netbanking, and Cheque Book at the end of the form. You will have the section for the Debit card just above these check boxes fill out the primary and joint holder name. Although it doesn't matter because you will have to ask them to apply for joint holder separately, either way just do it in case some branch personnel creates a fuss about it.
5. Now there are two ways the account will be opened
----a) Over the counter: You will have to share OTPs from both Primary and Joint Mobile No for CIF and Account no generation. Your CIF will be generated right there but account no might take a few hours.
----b) They will ask you to go home and later call you to confirm OTPs from both Mobile no. The OTP SMS will mention that you must share the OTP Over the Counter just so you know it's safe to share.
6. Your account no will be generated within 24 hours (USE any UPI app to confirm by adding CBoI account). You will get SMS confirmation for the debit card generation of the Primary holder.
7. Go to the branch and ask them to apply for 2nd debit card for Joint Holder using the Cent Queen Product Code. (There is no number as such as far as I know, It just shows them Cent Queen <something> in the dropdown --- again I could be wrong as I didn't see the whole screen). They might have doubts about it but just ask them to try it once and it will go through
----a) While applying for 2nd Debit card empty your bank account to only contain INR 10-20. This way if the bank personnel makes a mistake they will get an error about insufficient balance. If they choose the Cent Queen Product Code, the debit card application will go through.
----b) While you are there get Internet Banking activated for both CIF IDs (if not done already), get Mobile Banking Branch Token generated for both CIF IDs (you will receive them via SMS), and mention that you check marked Internet banking and mobile banking in the form itself. Some branches do this based on your opening form, some make you visit them it depends.
8. Enjoy.

Bhai Meri branch wale deny kr rhe hai second card ke liye 😡. inke agm se complain raise kru kya? @Ram1

Same for me. Saying debit card already generated, second DC cannot applied .
Ask them to apply debit card on the Second CIF if they deny just raise a complaint. They will comply. And before opening account always try to get a feel of the branch. I opened my account in the branch 28 KMs from my house (there are 2 branches within 5 and 8 km resp). The reason was the overall vibe. My current branch is in the most posh area of my city, the vibe was good, and I confirmed about two debit cards (they didn't say yes outright but they were positive about it). You see with PSU don't fight the branch if you can avoid it, find your way around it. All it cost me is INR 95 in 1L of extra petrol and INR 50 in Samosaas. I didn't even deposit anything in the account.

Are you able to Create FD in seperate name in both CIF, or option to choose holder name.
If Single, will it allow to select other holder as nominee. ? Or it select default account nominee
Have you tried sending money from second holder's login, what name it throws at receiver end, (Primary, Secondary or both)

Bro I already opened my mother account in different branch from my nearest home branch, and they were saying why opening in this branch cbi have branch in your locality you can open there. Both branch within 5 kms range. Still they were arguing with me why opening account in this branch.
But after some argument they were ready to open account.
Wish I should have opened account earlier as joint ac instead of single.

Don't worry if they are not listening go to BM or complaint

BM khud call karenge 🙈

Finally They have reached me.
2 beautiful debit cards I have ever seen🥰
This win feels personal 😁
@Ram1 were you able to register for netbanking for 2nd CIF without Debit Card? I was able to register mobile banking for both CIFs without any issues. But Netbanking for 2nd CIF is causing issues without debit card, it's not taking my PAN/Aadhaar during the password generation stage.
