Devaluation Changes to NeuCoins Earned on UPI Transactions

Greetings from HDFC Bank!



We want to inform you about an upcoming change to your Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card (ending in xxxxxx) regarding NeuCoins earned on UPI transactions.



New Changes Effective from 01-08-2024:

• 1.5 % back as NeuCoins on eligible UPI transactions made using your Tata Neu UPI ID.
• 0.50 % back as NeuCoins on other eligible UPI ID transactions.
• Total NeuCoins earned on eligible UPI transactions capped to 500 NeuCoins per calendar month.

Please Note: NeuCoins earned before 01-08-2024 are secure and will not be affected.

due to not interested to use nue app for upi (due to slowness), stopped using nue card this month.. now seems like hdfc giving me more reasons to stop it.

points supposed to unlock at the end of evry month or statement date but it seems they're like every txn 30 days waiting period. not good choice.

its like those ELSS funds redemption, each SIP 3 years period.

True that. Today, I paid ₹4,500 thru Tata Pay UPI using my Tata Neu Infinity credit card. Noticed the ₹45 NeuCoins would unlock on 29th September — one month from now! Even if it had been issued 7 days later, it would have been acceptable.

Really pathetic (indirect) devaluation for one of the best RuPay cards!

There is nothing in "Unlocking soon" or any other tab in Tata Neu app.

May be MCC is not eligible.

I had a similar experience - paid via CC on UPI for a car battery purchase and expected 1.5% Neucoins but did not get any. On emailing hdfc they said the MCC was fuel which is an ineligible category.

Transaction was done on 27th Sep.

There is nothing in "Unlocking soon" or any other tab in Tata Neu app.

May be MCC is not eligible.

How does it work ? I made a shopping transaction of 2500 on 1st October with tata neu infinity through upi and it is showing 25 unlocking on 1st November, so that is only 1% what about rest 0.5% of the Neu coins - would that be credited in next statement ?
