What is the lowest MAB ICICI account to get Rupay platinum debit card? Please share the process of how to get the card as well.

Find a rural branch in your area and try to open regular savings account.... I tried same.... Initially they rejected... Then i complained on twitter.... After that branch manager called me and opened the account.... MAB-2000×for regular savings account....in rural branch and 5000 for semi urban branch...

That was around 3 years ago.. And seeing recent trends... Even twitter complaint is not working..... At first instance they will say that there is nothing like regular account in icici.... But there is...

After account opening call customer care and apply for rupay platinum card easily....

Now my account has been automatically upgraded to privlge banking.... With zero mab requirements due to my credit cards... I have three ltf icici credit cards...

I did the same.
icici wont confirm rupay platinum as their system only shows rupay card
But just ask rupay you will get rupay plat only

Says only Wealth DC can be issued in this case.

Actually, you need to do something even after you're issued a Platinum DC or else your Wealth DC will be closed, like not setting PIN and turning on Online Transactions.
(Do Forum searches for the same)

You can try opening another account and link it your main account and get Rupay Platinum DC before linking.

Although, I would recommend you to get it from any PSU bank. They usually offer Rupay Platinum very easily.

I have zero mab a/c, opened online by funding of 1L .
Check online if that is still there in a/c variant while opening

Icici is not opening any account online🤡

It has been fixed now🥲

The trick was to not set pin of the card, just enable ecom txn and you're good to go

Sometimes icici gives zero mab accounts with some initial deposit of money but its very rare..... Some people have got these offers online too but nowadays I don't hear such things..... They ask hefty deposits now in offline account opening.... Even for 10k mab account

Got it thanks. I can do an initial funding if it becomes 0 MAB so later I can withdraw it all. You reckon branch will ask for 1 lakh?

They ask different amount from each person..... Ask if there is some offers going for silver or gold account to make it zero mab after initial funding.... Many people got like that.. Else they will mostly open 10k mab account in which u have to maintain 10k....lets say if they ask 1 lakh initial funding.... U have to maintain 10k and can take 90k out... After account opening

You didnt told us if you have a CC from ICICI and what's its limit,

If you have a CC with above 4l Limit

Ask Privilege savings account as a surrogate to CC​

Ask for Rupay plat while opening​

If you don't

apply for APay CC, they are offering 0 bal account with it. Consent will appear just before vkyc

Icici show tantrums a lot.... They too rejected me thrice and then gave apay in 2 minutes.. But make sure u get a core icici card before apay else it will be very difficult to get if u get apay card first..... These days they are not taking request through customer care for cards after u get apay.... Easily.....
