The new Axis Bank credit cards look good if we consider their benefits. However, in terms of rewards, even the Axis Olympus card has many exclusions. Despite this, it is still a good card for international spending. In terms of reliability, Axis Bank doesn't come close to Citibank. This is the main reason almost all Citibank customers were very unhappy with the Citibank and Axis Bank deal earlier last year. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything but accept this migration. If you don't want to continue with your Citibank cards, you can close them; you will not be charged any renewal or migration fees at this time. Renewal fees will be levied at the usual time of your card renewal. The Citi PremierMiles and Citi Prestige cards were some of the best and most reliable for accumulating air miles. Personally, I will never rely on Axis Bank, as they can send you notices and ask for transaction clarifications from the past year, even for very small amounts.

This is the end of an era.

limit issue resolved?

I wasted my time over call, chat support and email, but no one in Axis knows that post migration new aggregate limit would be sum of citi+axis.

Staff is clueless, customers have more information than the employees of bank
No dear, following up every 2-3 days. They have just been telling that they are checking on their rent. They have acknowledged that the limit should be the sum, but they are not updating the limit.

Someone, Please help me with this post-migration understanding of the limit transfer, Axis guys are driving me crazy now.

Before Migration:
Citi card with Limit- 1.5 Lakh
Axis Bank Aggregate Limit (3 cards): 1 Lakh

Post Migration Aggregate Limit should be 1+1.5= 2.5 Lakh
and this 2.5 lakh will be available on all Four cards.
I mean earlier Axis cards had a limit of 1 lakh each but post migration these cards will also have 2.5L limit.

so, both Aggregate and individual limits of cards will be 2.5 lakhs, post migration.

Yes to all the questions

Hi, I dropped them a mail regarding this and I am attaching the response received.
If you have time, please go through this.

If am writing to RBI now, so just want to make sure that our understanding regarding their migration policy is correct and the complaint is on merit.

What the heck ? They are going back on their words. Limit should be the sum. Its separate for me too.

After dealing with customer care since 21 days, I have now escalated the case to PNO, lets see what they have to say.

Something is weird with Axis Horizon printing/dispatching team.
When I received my card, the paper that is stick on card front is not removing smoothly. It is leaving a lot if paper on the card, which is impossible to remove manually.
And this is not a one time thing. I have tried thrice (block & replace) and same issue every time. How can they mess up same thing every time.
Did not face this on Cashback card. Looks they they have separate teams or equipments for each card.

Wet it with soapy water and scrape it off with your nail.
Or find a solvent for paper.

Don't make them send you the card again and again.
it's a waste of printing the card and dispatching it

Agreed.. there is enough plastic waste on this planet!

Are

Can you please confirm on this? Coz I remember I got a mail from them while migration was being done and stated that it would remain same. Attached a screenshot of the mail -
Confirmed on this with their support and as expected they were of no help citing norms for card can change etc etc. Just closed this card today.

@jeevanreddy58 They replied saying that the limits cannot be merged. What do we do now ?

What are others in the forum doing to address this ? Has anyone had any luck in successfully getting their limits summed up ?

lol I am already dealing with PNO

Upon blasting them, they said they have raised a request to see if they can combine the limit.

So now they are asking for salary proofs , ITR etc to evaluate my credit limit. I am giving up at this point and will not pursue them further. Don’t have the stamina to fight anymore.

If anyone else gets lucky in combining the limits , please do share the method you used.

you should use it for the non spend based benefits.

What are the Magnus Burgundy and Atlas excluded MCCs?

I have the aggregate limit of all the 5 cards from day 1.

I know, many got the aggregate limit from day one, but there are many like me for whom the limits are still separate. Dont know whats the technical reason behind this. My citicard limit is 9.85 lacs and axis is 6.7 lacs, so not a big issure, but the concern is not honoring the commitment.

I also have a personal account that got converted to liberty and a current account that got moved to Burgundy Private, debit crd of personal works but burgundy is not working. That debit card isnt showing in internet banking, and these fools are trying to figure out how to sort this. They have created atleast 7 customer ids on my name and even a duplicate current account linked to one of those ids. What a royal mess.

I think those who had a combined limit below 10 lakhs got it combined automatically.

But in your case it would have become more than 10 lakh so they kept it at 9.85
