The new Axis Bank credit cards look good if we consider their benefits. However, in terms of rewards, even the Axis Olympus card has many exclusions. Despite this, it is still a good card for international spending. In terms of reliability, Axis Bank doesn't come close to Citibank. This is the main reason almost all Citibank customers were very unhappy with the Citibank and Axis Bank deal earlier last year. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything but accept this migration. If you don't want to continue with your Citibank cards, you can close them; you will not be charged any renewal or migration fees at this time. Renewal fees will be levied at the usual time of your card renewal. The Citi PremierMiles and Citi Prestige cards were some of the best and most reliable for accumulating air miles. Personally, I will never rely on Axis Bank, as they can send you notices and ask for transaction clarifications from the past year, even for very small amounts.

This is the end of an era.

I have also been given "Axis Bank REWARDS Credit Card" as my new card. Mail received just now. I already have SBI CB card and I am happy with it. I don't spend that much to reach in 7% slab. BUT my Citibank card is LTF, and mail mentions "Your card will continue to be life-time free with zero annual fee." So, no harm in keeping it.
At least, this one time FASAK to 🪓 ...
Not FASAK to the customer by 🪓..

Congrats on your LTF 🪓 Rewards CC !!

Got email for Citi IOCL but below is confusing, does it mean the equivalent Axis card being issued without any annual fee (LTF)

*Annual fee of INR 1000 and the spends based fee waiver eligibility is not applicable
to customers who have been swapped / migrated to IndianOil Axis Bank Premium
from another credit card prior to 31st Jul 2024. In case your card has been swapped
/ migrated to the IndiaOil Axis Bank Premium credit card prior to 31st July 2024
please refer to communication shared on your registered contact details at the time
of your swap / migration

PS: In the meantime, I had closed my Axis Ace credit card few days ago.
I also received communication for citi rewards cards, but thinking to close this after limit merge, as 1000+gst=1180, and waiver in 2 lakh spend, I already have 3 Axis cards( 2 of which LTF), so it does not looks useful me, previously i kept this, as spend waiver criterion was 30000 in citi, if at the time of closure request, they con ert LTF, otherwise will close it after limit merge

Now it's confirmed limit will be sum of Citi cards + Axis cards limit

Waiting for this only. After migration I'll close both Citi Rewards and Indian Oil😂

For me Rewards and Indian oil both were LTF with Citi so I guess with Axes it will be same. However Rewards doesn't looks attractive while Indian oil Axes with its 4% cashback on Fuel is good.

Am I the only one who has received no emails whatsoever from Axis/Citi about the credit card migration at all? I hold a PremierMiles credit card. And also a Suvidha account. 10+ years both.

Sure. Please see the attachment.

I think I mixed up cashback and rewards cards about 7% cashback probably because it was irrelevant for me. :p

Got it..
I see different content instead of LTF. I was thinking my citi card is LTF.. Need to check with Citi if it is LTF or not

Your annual fee will remain the same and you can continue to enjoy your existing spend-based fee waiver limit, as is.

Your existing product benefits remain the same and we have introduced exciting new features to elevate your experience.

As far as my understanding goes, those citi credit cards that were ltf before migration shall remain so after migration to axis credit cards otherwise it will lead to mass closure. But with axis anything is possible.

I think in above case variant change happened from citi business to axis rewards, that's why they have specifically mentioned it ltf, for other cases were no variant change occurred (like citi rewards to axis rewards, etc), they might have sent general mail, mentioning same annual fees will remain, again I am just guessing, other people should also confirm.
