Clarification on RuPay NCMC

I can't use Chalo app since I am on iOS. Can I activate it in another way?

You can do it from any friend's android phone, just need one time, service creation is done by clicking on activate card for metro option in chalo app then add balance using bank app then update balance using chalo app.
Keep contactless payments and nfc on in card from bank app. And phones nfc and location on.

Junio has pushed an update and the NCMC card can now be recharged using their wallet and UPI. The balance can be updated using Chalo App.

Finally a usable NCMC card which works and shipped directly to you.

BTW for junio card balance update worked after recharge and balance check also works (via chalo ofc) but Card activation doesnt work. I don't mind one time offline activation but just for information. Is the activation needed even after successful balance update?

Card is already activated na?
That's why you're able to top-up/recharge and update the balance. After updation of balance, activation is not needed, it's required only once.

Thanks for confirmation on activation. And on CC recharge I am more than happy that at least UPI recharge is working. They can give free CC recharge with some monthly limit like 1000-1500 and charge fee thereafter, that would enough for metro commuters.

But given how these things get abused I don't have much hope.

So, Junio isn't going to face any losses. On top of that, NPCI is currently in the mood for NCMC promotion. No doubt, fintech companies must also be getting some benefits from NPCI for NCMC payments.

I am not ok, what's the use of NCMC? You can not use same card in Noida.

NCMC is still a myth.

Let's see how it unfolds in future.

Wating for Orbit, they have claimed something extraordinary.

They can give free CC recharge with some monthly limit like 1000-1500 and charge fee thereafter, that would enough for metro commuters.

But given how these things get abused I don't have much hope.

Pre-paid/Transit card without any facility of cash withdrawal won't get abused.

We can recharge Metro's closed loop card through CC/DC/UPI with SA/CC without any charge...

NCMC payment me MDR hote hai. NCMC exclude category me nahi aata hai.

Aur budget sach me bahut kam diya hai but baad me increase kar dete hai, isbar bhi kar dega increase shayad but kitna karega woh future me pata chalega.

Which card?
IG, it's already activated since you're trying to update balance.

Sometimes, it does happen because of technical issues. Try once again firstly check balance and then update bal, if it fails again then try again later tommorow.

Is there any error code/reason?

P.S: I have tried checking, it's working.
