Classic Debit Card for Kotak Pro Savings Account

I got my Solo - Single zero balance account upgraded to Kotak Pro for benefits like free debit card, mandates etc. Now the issue is I am only eligible to get the Classic Debit card for free but net banking shows another three cards - PVR, Pro Signature and Platinum (FYF). I am trying to avoid a branch visit as the nearest branch is 40 km away. Does anyone know about alternative options or do available card variants keep changing now and then net banking? The phone banking officer said applying through them is not possible.

I am hoping to replace this account with Paytm for small transactions!
 
Kotak usually needs branch visit for 80% of things, their netbanking or mobile app has vast options yet they need us to submit forms to branch to upgrade/debit card etc.

Check your RM (send a mail to know the contact details of your account branch), speak with them and see if possible without visiting branch. 40km means they also can't visit your home, so you both have to find alternative to get what you want.

Not sure what benefit you're looking with Classic debit card, but in Kotak except PVR none of the cards useful. So, I suggest you to go with one available as LTF which is same or more than Classic card.

Only Classic is available for free in the Pro account. PVR is chargeable and Platinum is free for the first year and I am not a moviegoer. I am looking for a debit card to activate UPI and get Kotak offers and occasional cash withdrawals. My mobile number on Aadhaar is different - so can't activate it through that route.

I got in touch with the branch from where I got the account upgraded (online was not working in my case for some odd reason and the only resolution I got from support was to visit the branch even after escalations) and they were not too sure about how to apply for Classic debit card - I found it odd but the staff didn't seem to be very knowledgeable during my visit. They have asked me to wait a day or two to see if the option shows up in net banking. I was requesting them to take requests over email.

If nothing works, I am considering taking the Platinum card and closing it before one year while I get a Classic card sometime in between. Hope I won't be charged that way!
 
My suggestion apply Platinum card and use for a year FREE. During this time, if you found time visit branch and apply debit card.. Or if they offered some other card as FYF, switch to that and continue another year. Year is a long time, utilize.
