Hello All,

I'm looking for credit card recommendations.
First of all I'm new to the credit card world.

Here is my rough montly spends breakdown.

> Utilities - 2k ( paid through amazon pay)
> groceries - 8 k to 10 k (purcased from supermarket and local shops. Transactions are done through UPI)
> Rent - 15k (Upi payment)
>Medicines - 3k to 5k (my wife is pregnant so medical expense is high)
>Ola/Uber - 1k (upi payment)
> health insurance - 4k
> Train - 1k ( upi payment)

Currently don't spend much on the online food orders and Online shopping.
But i will do once baby is born.
I did some research and filtered some CC's

[ ] One card, RBL shoprite cc
[ ] SBI caskback card
[ ] Kiwi credit card
[ ] Kredit Pe Yes Bank Ace Credit Card
[ ] Indusind legend cc
[ ] ICICI amazonpay

If you already have a credit score then start with SBI cashback before you get tag of over leveraged.
Then apply Yes Kiwi card.
For utilities you can get RuPay Platinum debit card from your bank or if not possible then Axis Bank Airtel card if you have airtel sim.
If you are in metro city then try hsbc cashback card.

Remember to keep a gap between each card. Do not apply all cards at once.

You Shall get these :

  • Amazon ICICI (Backup card + Amazon)
  • Yes Kiwi (UPI)
  • Airtel Axis (Utilities + Airtel Recharges+groceries)
  • SBI Cashback (Cashback King)
Later you may add more CC but above are the base line for you
these are very optimal suggestions.
my suggestion is to get
HSBC Live+/HDFC Swiggy
Airtel Axis
IndusInd Platinum RuPay

Another card you should add is a card that provides you better returns on offline expenses like atlas or platinum travel (you might not be able to get them right out as you have no credit history)
For instance, you have a big expense at a hospital coming up, these cards provide 1.5% at max for offline but cards like atlas/plat travel give you way higher returns on offline spends.

check out this pdf and decide
I'd recommend u to start with SBI cashback and go further
getting Amex plat and atlas is not that easy in ur initial stage u should have atleast 1 or 2 cards before applying for AMEX cards

Since most of your spends are via UPI I would recommend any Rupay CC to start with. Kiwi/Indusind Platinum would be good to begin with. Apply for ICICI Amazon also. Eventually apply for SBI Cashback. All the best for the upcoming months.
