Credit card showing as dormant account in HSBC mobile app

I got my HSBC cashback card in last week of January. I created pin and activated the card today only. But in HSBC mobile app it shows dormant account below my credit card. What is the issue here? I have not made any transactions yet using it.

Use your card, it will change from inactive to active

I used my card made atleast half a dozen transactions both debit and credit but still it shows as Dormant 🤣

Update received a welcome message from HSBC today post which dormant message went away on own.

You need to swipe it once, after that it will not Dormant as per CC.

Looks like even contactless pay doesn't change it. Or maybe once it's settled it'll update for me. Will share if it changes.

Did it get activated? I have been talking to agents one after the other. Not active even after doing the physical txn by entering the pin. The last person is saying the physical txn needs to be claimed by the merchant for the card to get activated. Not able to use the card online at all. Thought HSBC would be better than this.

Yaya, it got activated without swiping, after a few days. You don't have to worry and you can keep using it.

I received my HSBC visa platinum CC on 30 may. Activated through IVR same day. PIN generated through SMS on 31 may. Then registered mobile & net banking. Showing dormant in both banking. Called CC -> they telling to do first transaction.
So I have been trying to use it online -> OTP SMS not receiving on bank page. Tried different website from couple of days but to no avail. Need to swipe card ? I'm very hesitant to use my cards (other than secondary) on POS as frauds of every type are booming. Please guide.

Yes. Activated all domestic transactions

Update :- just now did a contactless POS transaction and it went successful.

Are you getting OTP for online transactions ?
I tried today - still Bank OTP not receiving on bank payment page
