Ease of opening a BSBDA

I visited all the banks available in my city.
Asking to open a zero balance account (BSBDA). To my surprise except idfc first bank all other banks denied having a zero balance account. Only when I threatened them to give me in writing or I'll have to involve RBI in this then they said yes there is this account but we don't usually open that anymore.
ICICI being the worst they didn't agree to open the account even when I left the branch.
I know the BSBDA account has many restrictions but what banks are doing is wrong. If RBI has given a option then why are banks not forwarding it?

Can you give short comparison
Bsbda is same in any bank whether private or public bank

Thing is which Bank open your bsbda easily
I suggest HDFC out of your option
As ICICI will straight forward deny the request

If u want ease of banking HDFC is good otherwise open in any psu bank, they are great

BTW what's the reason behind opening a bsbda?
I rarely see any benefit out of it other than 0 mab
I think what really help in having bsbda is no charges account
With specific branch support in case of any need unlike neo or online banks

Plus they don't have sms charges so we can do transaction like bullet train and still be in profits
