Easiest way to convert SOA Mutual Fund to Demat Mutual Fund

Like if I want to gift mutual fund. It is not possible with soa..
My parents are 65, in future I want to transfer it to my account.
In case of gifting, it just works as redemption from taxation pov. Will be treated as sale and purchase only between both the parties. It wont be treated as gift.

in gifting you don’t have to sell the shares..

In case of bank account change, a single online change is possible for all 5 mutual funds.

Yup I know that you don't have to sell the shares.
But I'm referring to taxation when you gift shares.
If you are liable to pay the tax even on gifting, then it makes no sense to transfer shares from your parents demat to your demat.
Instead you can just sell there and buy them in your account.
No need of going through the hassle of conversion from one format to other format.
