Eligibility Criteria for ICICI Emeralde Private Metal - Discussion

T

That is why if someone uses Emeralde PVC of limit 6 lakhs or more and does considerable spends there is high chance of getting auto upgrade to EPM through iMobile or Net banking than to get it through branch /RM. Because Branch/RM need to justify the salary/ TRV /PPOK criteria to generate the invite and get it approved from higher ups.
waiting for someone to get EPM through upgrade based on spends, only then this can be a proven working way of getting EPM.

No way someone will spend much on EPVC. Its a shitty card. Same for all other cards of icici except Apay and maybe Times Black.
Exactly. One could spend more on apay card but I don't see any fruitful way to spend more than 2-3 lakhs per year with EPVC. there's no incentive and many better cards available.

This works for Sapphiro --> EPVC. Spend 6L using Sapphiro in one year and get EPVC.
But next step EPVC > EPM is steeper. I don't think it will be based on spend based criteria.

Considering the current situation seems like ICICI is behind increase earning per account for premium users using EPC Metal as the bait.

Spend based upgrade is easiest to achieve even if you didn't match 20% of the desired criteria. (You can consider INFINIA as well).

Don't think they will allow spend based upgrades anytime soon until demand of their metal is in the market.

spend based policy wont work here even ICICI knew that that's why they're super keen on PPOP, for infinia the ppop required is just 12.5k unlike emeralde metal, they're super clear that they want to place this card higher than infinia.

Guys, I switched branches yesterday and my new Private Banking RM submitted my EPM application within 15-20 mins. He says I will get the card by Friday.

But given all the whining and naysaying from my old RM/ BM (F*** those guys) and also based on feedback from you guys, I am still sceptical.

What do you guys think? Does the fact that I can see a credit limit mean its pre-approved?
