Eligibility Criteria for ICICI Emeralde Private Metal - Discussion

Watching all Gold rush, I will visit ICICI bank tomorrow.

I already have ICICI account but didn't operate that , kind of ghosted from last 3 yrs & LTF Coral with 5.5 L Limit.

4.7L salary (3.6L Credit) in HDFC, ready to move to ICICI and deposit 20-30L if they are confident for the card.

Let's see how that goes 🥷
Yep thats almost my situation. Will be shifting to icici I guess

Can you DM me his number? I am looking for a new Private Banking RM as my current one is useless.

And I don't have the skills of @Dr.Anand456 to get RMs/ BMs fired 😆
Today, I met a new and good branch manager along with the new Relationship Manager (RM). After I filed my complaint, the branch manager himself visited my home and had a 30-minute conversation with me. He assured me that he would provide me with the welcome kit and the card. He just asked me to give him one chance. Hearing this, tears welled up in my eyes 😅—especially after the introduction and after he got to know everything about me.

Regarding the card, he mentioned that he would forward my request. This card is not easily available to just anyone. According to the branch manager, currently, fewer than 1,000 people in India hold this card. Moreover, just being a Wealth or Private Banking customer is not enough to qualify for it. One needs to meet specific criteria.

He mentioned something about 'PPOP' or a requirement of maintaining ₹50,000 (unclear), which is extremely difficult to achieve. Another way to qualify is by having an Income Tax Return (ITR) of ₹1 crore and a Total Relationship Value (TRV) exceeding ₹3 crore. The final option is to receive a direct invite, which is highly unlikely 😅.

Tomorrow, they will first calculate my TRV and then inform me whether I am eligible for this card or not. After that, approval will be required from the Zonal In-Charge of my area, followed by the Credit Card In-Charge. Only after getting approvals at all these levels can someone obtain this card.

So, one thing is clear—whoever has this card is either very lucky or extremely wealthy, because it is not meant for everyone.

Extremely wealthy seems debatable.

I got the contact of the RM who handles corporate banking in the MNC I work.
The eligibility is pretty simple, if you have >3lpm credit and can move it to ICICI, you will get the card. Pretty much like Infinia before the criteria was increased.

From what I'm told they will open wealth management banking and get the card within a week or so. Post that we can move the salary account to any other bank as well.

Is the 1cr ITR valid for salaried individual as well?

My corporate RM is way too useless in comparison! He earlier said 3L net is fine, now he is saying min 4L net on top of PPOP 50kpm

Thats why abhi milna bahut mushkil hai
My RM had shared an image showing that five levels of approvals were obtained, and my PPOP was mentioned as around 3.25L.
So yes, it is tough but possible if you meet all the criteria and someone is willing to facilitate it. However, approvals are mandatory even if you fulfill all the eligibility requirements.
