Exploring the ALL Accor Signature Absolute Membership: Is It Worth the Investment?

I will take plus, But I not sure whats the right time to take signature. Under blackfriday or to start in Jan

I have kind of a similar scenario, at one point of time I thought to just buy Absolute for one month and then cancel, just to get discounted points! And make the decision to buy full membership in Jan.

Another approach is to buy full membership on Dec 1 (Brazil time) so that we lose status points for only a month!

I am thinking to go with latter.

For Accor hotels, booking room nights last minute during the first 14 days prior to check in are expensive (regular prices or more than regular prices)

But around 30 days prior to check-in you will get the lowest rates. (Upto 30% cheaper than regular prices)
More than 30 days prior to check in, the rates will be the regular prices.
Everyone kindly give your inputs on this debatable topic

In some cities I have found ,hotels have lowest price on Saturday & Sunday because it's holiday & hotel don't get many guest who is staying for business purpose.

Take signature on dec 1st or 2nd. U will loose only 1000 status points.. since u r going to stay next yr 20nights approx u should take plus on same day as signature so by next yr end u should be platinum which will continue till dec 26

Renew it online whenever you get a good deal or discount.
These offline agents on phone need to be paid a salary and need to earn commission

As the nights credit after 3-4 days after the stay and existing nights reset on 31st December. Would i be able to achieve the 30 nights and gold status?

The earlier you buy it, the earlier you hit gold. If you have stays planned for July / August, buying on 1st Jan will be beneficial.

Also the earlier you buy, the earlier you can book the hotels with the additional discount. Of course the additional discount is moot if you have Accor plus.

This is not a new thing for hotel loyalty programs. End of December is peak holiday season and it’s routine that many hit the milestones during this period.
Give it a few days after your stay. If the status doesn’t change automatically, call the customer service.

But RedHot rooms need cash payment right?

Well I have both experiences. In Pattaya I had to prepay to get redhot room.
In bkk, I booked 2 rooms in normal hotel through third party but the hotel was very unclean so I visited Ibis Style and asked him the rates. I showed him the redhot rate I was getting in my app. The front desk person put my Accor id and found similar rates and booked the 2 rooms. At checkout I paid through reward points.

P.S. my credit card was blocked for certain amount though. Moreover, I requested for complimentary room upgrade and we were upgraded to more spacious room from the next day as it was not available on the same day.

what price u purchased this membership? Even without discount, 1st Jan is best time to purchase this correct ? if target is to achieve Platinum, as status points will expire in December even if i get this 15% discount.

All nights of the year will be counted. Please keep in mind that night should not spread across years like 29 December to 1st Jan then it will be counted in next year. So under such circumstances please have separate bookings for year N and year N+1

Black Friday sale is best in entire year that’s flat 15% discount. Other than that u don’t get discount in jan. I think in July or June they gave 9% this year
