Exploring the ALL Accor Signature Absolute Membership: Is It Worth the Investment?

In Melbourne I had paid for a room with breakfast, which was continental
If I wanted to upgrade to American breakfast, they were charging $6 extra but they refused to accept points for the breakfast upgrade
Thats my question. What if they refused to accept payment by accor points. We have to pay fully by cash/ card

You need to confirm in advance at the reception if they are willing to bill the room and then accept points for payment.
 
Do all hotels agree easily for billing to room?

It means we are indirectly getting approx 50% discount for food and spa? Thats great .

But if i book hotel by prepaid, it would not be possible
Most hotels that take a deposit during checkin will allow you to bill food to ur room..

1) You need to confirm this with the hotel reception at the time of check in.

2) The spa even at 50% discount and then pay with points which makes it 75% discount may still be more than the prices we pay in India, especially north India!
(I get a head, back, arms massage for 15 minutes for only Rs.100 in Mumbai city centre).
Having said this, 75% discount may still be a good deal, depending on the hotel spa rates.

3) even for prepaid rooms, you can bill all extra expenses to the room--drinks, meals, transfers, spa and any other hotel service can and should be billed to the room and then paid with points
 
I am using accor particularly ibis for my stays. Already stayed for more than 70 night.
I think signature absolute will give me more value to my stays. Waiting for some discounts on black friday or christmas
 
Accor Signature: I am having issues in auto renewal. Did not work with ICICI or Amex card. They are saying payments are failing. Anyone else face this issue ? Renewal payments are not happening.
I have the monthly subscription in it

Given the current piss poor BRL currency rate and the 15% yearly discount, this is looking like a nice golden goose
Pay approx Rs. 85k, get 4.25 axis edge miles (8.5k points)

The value of 75k accor points in itself is Rs. 1.35L, add the 8.5k points you get (accor) from Atlas, that's almost Rs. 1.5L value for 85k cash paid.
Not to mention, potential to reach Platinum status. Certainly a worthy consideration anyone planning any travels next year.

One of the benefit is "Extra 10% points on partners transfers", does that mean it automatically gives 10% bonus miles when we transfer from Axis/HDFC to Accor?

No, its from specific partners in Brazil. They show those partners a little below (scroll) the benefits table

I am gold now ( Accor plus + a few stays in the year). If I take the membership NOW and do 10 stays next year, what will be my status next November?

If you have become gold this year (because of status nights/status points), you will be gold next year as well. But they reset status nights and status points on every 31st December. You should either of the criteria to become gold next to next year.

If you are not meeting the gold criteria this year, next year you'll be downgraded until you meet the gold criteria again.

No, they will add status nights and status points after 3-4 days of checkout. After that only, if eligible, you will be gold

Am not worried about points from hotel. I expect gold status from the Signature plan. Am worried the status won’t change before my stay.
