Federal Bank Wave Rupay Virtual Credit Card Launched

Federal Bank launched Wave Rupay Virtual Credit Card for UPI transactions. It will act as a floater card linked to Primary card by sharing tue limit of Primary Card.

No physical card will be sent.

NB:- In testing phase, public roll out not began yet. Those who have core cards may soon get preapproved link to apply.


On a side note, this may shows the change in bank's policy of one card per customer. Hope those who have Federal core card can take co-branded cards in future and vice versa.

As told by customer care on call, 1 reward point for 200/- and 2000 bonus reward point for 50000/- quarterly spend. Flat 10% cashback(max 200) for first five transactions.

So CB 40 per transaction max

Not certain if anyone has mentioned this already, but the Wave virtual credit card is on JCB RuPay network. Mine is BIN 3561.

I've been getting the offer for a while now but haven't yet activated it. The 10 percent cashback for the first 5 transactions seem interesting, but there isn't much else to it after that. 1 RP for every 200 is a reward rate of just 0.125, one of the worst in the industry.
Those who have got the card, have you received any card specific offers on this one. Federal Bank has lots of upfront discounts on online transactions on a number of commonly used platforms, but in there core cards will give better returns...

In that case Kotak Virtual RuPay, League, Indus Platinum RuPay also start with BIN 3561. HDFC and ICICI have Discover BIN. Need credible source like NPCI, Bank website . I can change JCB BIN on Wiki to Master card BIN that's not credible. To understand about it I need some credible source.

If you have an Apple device, try saving the card to Safari Autofill, it automatically tells you the card network.

Yes Bank, Federal bank, Few selected Union bank CC, RBL Bank, BOB Cards, Few Selected SBI Cards like - Octane, Reliance, Apollo, Yatra and Paytm SBI RuPay CC are JCB Variant.

Coming Utkarsh Bank RuPay CC also JCB variant.

All these cards start with 3561.
