Federal Bank Wave Rupay Virtual Credit Card Launched

Federal Bank launched Wave Rupay Virtual Credit Card for UPI transactions. It will act as a floater card linked to Primary card by sharing tue limit of Primary Card.

No physical card will be sent.

NB:- In testing phase, public roll out not began yet. Those who have core cards may soon get preapproved link to apply.


On a side note, this may shows the change in bank's policy of one card per customer. Hope those who have Federal core card can take co-branded cards in future and vice versa.

As told by customer care on call, 1 reward point for 200/- and 2000 bonus reward point for 50000/- quarterly spend. Flat 10% cashback(max 200) for first five transactions.

Nope. Customer care said it will take 60days for cashback.

I just checked my cibil and i can confirm no new account is reported by federal. This is a very good thing federal did.

Are the offers different on apps or is it based on the card? Like are these Rupay offers or app-based offers?

Haha... I am having it in all.... Gpay, Cred, Phonepe.
This has nothing to do with the app. All will have the same UPI interface.
No good or bad.

Ok, so the offers are based on card and not the app right.. I am still getting a hang of this rupay credit card on upi. Hadn't tried this earlier but now I thought of trying it

Not always. Generic Rupay UPI offers will be run by NPCI. But sometimes, some apps will have tie up with certain banks and provide UPI offers.
For example, there are separate offers running right now for BOBCARD UPI with Gpay and Phonepe. Attaching the offers so that you will get more clarity.

Thanks . I only have ICICI Coral Rupay and Federal Wave Rupay.
And the apps I use are Gpay and Amazon pay. I'll link both the cards to both apps and see how it goes.

I have linked federal wave to my Gpay and started using it for all UPI transactions. Works smoothly and just awesome. Love this method. Bank statement is clean. One time payment after bill generation. Small rewards.

Try tomorrow morning. I was able to add it immediately after issuance.
