Federal Bank Wave Rupay Virtual Credit Card Launched

Federal Bank launched Wave Rupay Virtual Credit Card for UPI transactions. It will act as a floater card linked to Primary card by sharing tue limit of Primary Card.

NB:- In testing phase, public roll out not began yet. Those who have core cards may soon get preapproved link to apply.


On a side note, this may shows the change in bank's policy of one card per customer. Hope those who have Federal core card can take co-branded cards in future and vice versa.

I found that if your auto pay is disabled for core card, you can't generate the Virtual Rupay from the app. Tried with 2 accounts and result was negative.

I don't think so auto pay will create any problem. Maybe some downtime in their servers.

I assume the opposite. As Fed is not providing option to disabling auto pay during application (Core Card) it's mandatory to be on autopay mode to generate any card.

Then it's 2.5% value. But value will again goes down as redemption fees of 100+ gst is added per redemption.

existing celesta cc holder, wave cc banner showed in credit card page after refreshing couple of times and applied. instantly card generated .
but tried to use this cc in adani website and getting error "please enter valid card number" any one facing this issue..?

I already hold Federal Imperio CC (Visa). So I applied yesterday through Fed Mobile app on the displayed banner.
The Rupay Wave card was generated instantly.

However, the activation of the card by setting PIN as well as UPI linking was possible after 7-8 hours.
It says that 10% cashback for the first 5 transactions, but the capping as well as minimum transaction amount isn't mentioned yet.

So I hold Federal Bank credit card only no savings account. When I go into credit card section I see this option Set credit Account and inside it asks for bank account details. What is the use of this.

You need to have a bank account with federal in order to get fed cc.

Not really, i don't have Bank account in federal Bank, got celesta in Feb in this year
