Frustrated with HDFC Preferred team

I'm holding a Salary account with HDFC and a preferred customer for about 10 years and have a Times credit card for almost 10 years. However I don't any LTF credit card. My RM is of no use.

Even the Times card is not LTF. It's spend based.

I opened 0 balance account using my preferred account for Wife and mom.

I've been ghosting the relationship with my RM as she kept calling me only for ULIP, loans and other products.

They never offered any LTF credit card. My wife got Regalia LTF card but I didn't. I had to apply for add on card recently.

I got frustrated and sent an email to close my Wife's and mom's account and then I'll be closing mine.

I got a call from the preferred RM two days later and I explained the situation, I requested for Infinia or DC LTF. She said she would check and come back.

Now that she saw my account, salary, statement, she took the opportunity to sell a ULIP Term insurance.

I don't have the problem of her selling the products but everytime she comes with a hard deadline like the fund opens on 15th June, you have to apply before that etc.

She shares my mobile number with their ULIP team and they start torturing me.

Now has anyone faced this issue of RM seeing you as consumer to sell their products?

Is it a good idea to buy the products they suggest? For example, they suggested Tata Aia Param Raksha plan. Is it a good a plan? If it's good plan, why do they force the customers to take.
The marketing they do is so scary as it always comes with a deadline to force the customer to buy! This is so scary marketing strategy.
I once called them to get the process to get the CVV of my rupay credit card. They said they'll check and never came.

It feels like the preferred RM program by HDFC is just a way get access to good valued customers and allure them with products. But never solve any real problems. It is really frustrating to call the RM as every conversation leads to a ULIP product marketing. I am using only Phone banking.

And finally she offered Regalia gold LTF and she would procure the approval but she didn't call me after i declined the Term insurance.

I'm so frustrated that I don't want to continue with HDFC. Are there any good alternative to HDFC salary account with similar perks?

I think u can request rm change if your branch has Multiple RM
Or u can set your bm as your RM if u are maintain a good balance relationship with them
Lastly u can change your branch to some good branch (first visit new branch and take a look of the environment)

I am having vishesh banking with them
Initially they called me for sip but I explicitly told them to not to call for sales marketing

Have never rec'd any call thereafter

Even my RM is useless mostly as they don't know what is mcc codes

It is just a script taught by corporates to their employees to always say that we will check and get back to you so as to gain trust of customer

When my rm told me that mcc jaisa kuch nahi hota hai and u will get cashback
Mujhe samjh Gaya tha ki ye bhutiya hai
So I always mail grievance cell for any requests

Problem with hdfc is they always divert every case to my rm
And then they kept calling and begging to take back complaint (yes they don't differ between a genuine service request and complaint)
They always take it as a complaint

Ki sir humare points Kam ho jayenge, hum h Naa aapke liye aap email mat karo,

@Vasuki @varun__goel_ your valuable opinion is requested

Thank you bro. I think Branch change is my solution. I've been sticking to the same branch for about 10 years though I don't live there now. It's time to change the branch.

Yes, whenever I email Preferred banking, they take it as complaint. Strange thing.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣I got one more frnd on my boat
if you get regalia gold LTF then just close your accounts and use the card

See.. even If u change the branch There's no use, most of the branches are of same kind and their RMs are useless
Try ICICI WM - try to go to a newly opened branch if available
and there r plenty of other options for u, don't stick with HDFC

I have the same issue with HDFC that u r facing now I too have preferred banking but am not able to get any privileges over there - still not able to get the CC I need even after writing several emails and I got another premium card from other banks even not having HNI Accounts

In HDFC they don't care how much funds u have and which HNI program u hold

I am planning to shift my entire TRV/NRV to other banks and look for alternatives

other options:
ICICI WM
INDUS EXCL/Select
IDFC Wealth/Select
Axis priority/Burgundy
HSBC Premier - Not avail... in my location

These are some good accounts you can consider, Guyss Let me know If I missed any good account variant

Don't inv in their ULIP schemes just for the sake of getting infinia,
If they r good and profitable why do they run behind customers to sell this nonsense

The problem is that there is a clear conflict of interest between the products that the relationship manager is trying to push to you and your own interests because the RM will always sell what earns him the highest commission. You can only trust financial products that are recommended to you by a fiduciary, otherwise its best to do your own research. My RM is useless, and I've politely told him to sod off and not peddle his garbage to me.

Why not try to leverage your relationship and write to the grievance cell directly if you want a better card? Its worth a shot before taking any drastic action like switching your banking relationship.

How will your RM know CVV of your credit card, is not their on the actual card?

Yes, as I mentioned in my above post I reached out to grievance reddressal team several times but no use
That's the reason I fed up with this all and moved on
In HDFC we've to gain as much as we can when we r NTB customers to them
Once we become the existing customers they may not consider our needs and provide what we want

How will your RM know CVV of your credit card, is not their on the actual card?
No, the problem is with the Rupay CC provided by HDFC. The CVV is unavailable in the my cards section. So I reached out to them to get the process to see the CVV. I applied for physical card multiple times but I never received.

Finally found it via a youtube video.
