ATM fees in Thailand are outrageous. Saw some videos on YouTube that one can go to branch and withdraw cash by swiping card, thereby avoiding ATM charges.

But, good to see that indie card is working.

There are some bank which do not charge this fees on ATM withdrawal.. you need to know and find that bank ATM

I doubt there are any such ATM in Thailand. Aeon bank ATM charges lowest fee of around 150 baht as far as I know

Amount dispensed my ATM - 5000 THB

Amount charged by ATM - 5220 TBH ( 220 TBH is ATM usage charges, same for any bank ATM except Aeon Bank but you won't find their ATM commonly )

Amount debited in Indie is same as Visa website equivalent of 5220 THB ( handwritten in attachment )

One can try the swiping at branch trick only if the branch has no ATM ( essentially zero such branches ) or when ATM isn't working ( mind you there will be queue as you won't be the only one affected )..

But yes this is a way to avoid ATM usage fee..

Has anyone had any luck with international POS / ECom ?

I have tried Indie DC on several websites for non-INR transactions ( agoda, klook and a few others ).. Transaction fails even before OTP page, no error shown either.. Has anyone had any luck with international ecom txns?

PS - int txns are enable on said card, limits are fine too..

Tried DC Visa Signature for international transactions several times. All settings enabled in Indie App and all limits set to maximum.

Before the Trip:
Tried to book a property through Agoda. Didn't work
Tried to book a property through Booking.com . Didn't work.

During Trip:
Used DC for a transaction in Grocery Store in Bali through POS Swipe. Didn't work.
Tried Contactless Payment. Didn't work.
Tried ATM. Didn't work.

Few days ago I paid for vpn in $ and it went smoothly.

Till yesterday Indie card was working fine. Today POS transactions in Vietnam and International payments not working. Any one else facing same issue?
