Getting a Credit Card as an 18 year old.

I have a nephew who is about to turn 19 in a couple of days. He is hardworking and makes really good money whilst being enrolled in a premier institute.
He has the Tata Neu card but wants something more rewarding. For quite a few years he was interested in credit cards as he had seen my collection and became enthralled. Now he is pestering me to help him get a premium credit card. He makes around 30 lakhs per annum and has an account in HDFC (they don't give non co-branded cc to under 21's) and an Axis Priority account in which he maintains 2lakhs (I think it is a stupid idea but he doesn't listen)

He hasn't even been able to get a credit card with Axis and is telling me that he will change his account and deposit even a 5 lakhs check in an account if they guarantee a credit card to him.

What will be the best bank for this?

With the age as a restriction he has a limited number of cards he can procure
I have no clue about a super premium credit card at this age but pretty sure he can get some basic cards like Apay, simplyclick, kotak league, etc
On a side note: if he's continuosly pestering you just tell him to get a indusind legend credit card it was once a premium card i believe as it has some 10k annual fees (now the card has lost its purpose as a credit card tho)

Yeah I've tried telling him to just chill until he is 21 but he keeps on mentioning it to me whenever we see each other.

Hand him over to me ,I will coach him..
It's just young rushing blood, these days.
After this internet Era, all the kids want to have everything instant..
Imagine how the things would be after AI takes over the world...

Coming back to the subject,
I think Amex cards will suit him better for now.

Both Kotak and Sbi have a minimum age of 21

He's in IITH and works part time with Vijay Sales to manage their website.
Just to manage their website he's being overpayed considering IIIT and not IIT

People from IIIT H get good jobs at GS, WF and other big banks (with pay over 20L as a fresher) but me as an employer would never pay a college going student over 5L to "manage" my website
