Got 2nd Magnus Burgundy

No man... I don't fall in the camp of people who are willing to pay 10-11% extra cash to get some additional reward points. Even by skipping these travel edge bookings, I have enough points on Accor than I can consume at this point 🙂

BTW, with 10% inflation, Traveledge comes down to 14% only. It is not better than Infinia. And I don't consider Accor as 1:1.8, for all practice purposes it is 1:1 only for me as Accor fares have become expensive off late

Edit: ITC is 24%-10% = 14% as per my calculations and it is not better than Infinia at 33%. Accor is debatable, as similar category hotels will be available at cheaper rate when booked on smartbuy Infinia, which itself gives 33% on hotels
To each their own, i guess. I am ok to pay a bit extra on rare cases to get a lot more in return.

It is actually not a lot more return if you have Infinia already. The real lot more return equation of M4B is for spends above 1.5L where it is undisputed King in India, but not on travel edge

But as you said, it is a personal preference and one should be happy as long as they know what they are doing

If you spend is 60l a year, then you can easily max out the 10lk limit for points.

With 2 cards, u can spread 30-30 on each. Benefit would be that the card will be free plus 5.76lk benefit using Accor and remaining 581000 points can be transferred to ITC for bare minimum 1rs per point value. If you fly business you can take it up to 2rs per point value too if you are savvy enough.

10.41lk is bare minimum on 60lk spend. Which is crazy. Infiniia or any other card cannot match that. 17.35% Return rate considering everything is crazy.

Accor and ITC are for hotel bookings only right?

Yes they are.
But dude, M4B is primarily beneficial if you prefer booking hotels through Accor or ITC.

For those who prefer platforms like Airbnb or regular hotel bookings through MMT, Cleartrip, etc., Infinia offers an excellent 33.33% discount.

Personally, I use Infinia mainly for flight bookings and opt for Airbnb for stays. With Infinia, I can maximize discounts on the cheapest flight options available.

Do you think it’s fair to compare Infinia with M4B, which requires maintaining ₹30 lakh in funds, a big loss in itself?

Yes yes... if you are spending 60L per year, then definitely M4B, since you will get benefit of AEP above 1.5L for most of the time

My only argument was against TravelEdge, which is anyways not counted in AEP

In fact if someone's spends are already above 1.5L, then booking air tickets directly on airline website gives 14% instead of booking them at Travel Edge which gives 24% return minus 10-11% inflation

Again each to their own.

As for 30lk funds, that's not true. You do not need to maintain 30lk funds.

You can always compare it.

True.

My 2nd trip of 2025 is from India to USA to Europe (on cruise) then Dubai and back to India.

Overall 2.5months planned so far with post-Dubai left open fornow for future planning, incase I increase the duration of trip.
You are just like me.
On which site do you get the best cruise prices?
Your Transatlantic cruise from some port in Florida to Barcelona or Italy should be less than $50 per person per night

I book only on RC as i am trying to become a Diamond Member (Currently Gold, but after this trip, will become Platinum) I expect to be Diamond in next 3yrs or so.

The cruise fare was ridiculously low. I Paid $1535 for 1 room for 2 people, and $1350 for a solo room. 12 nights cruise. All inclusive. The total I paid was cheaper than a 7 night cruise for 2 in Mediterranean Sea.
