Got Axis Airtel Finally with Vi Number

Was looking to get Airtel Axis offer on my Airtel SIM for a while. After months of refreshing, opening a Payments Bank account and checking CIBIL in hope for the offer I gave up until I saw people applying it via non-Airtel numbers. I already had a normal Axis bank salary account with a lot of preapproved offers except Airtel Axis and Ace.

I took a Vi number, installed the Airtel Thanks app and clicked the Credit Card section and voila, it let me continue the application and add my details. After having 2 Airtel broadbands, 2 DTH and Airtel prepaid on my Airtel sim phone, it still did no give me the offer but a random number sim worked.

I applied and completed the application with conditional approval and got the Video KYC link. Completed it the next day. On tracking it, the Axis app was all wrong though the Airtel app showed that it was sent.

Received it in 4 days with a limit of 5,00,000. Overall I am happy, but should have received a better experience than this. I wonder how they choose whom to offer it.

In conclusion, uses another SIM for an instant offer instead of pointless struggling.

My All Airtel and Non-Airtel Numbers are Associated with a Mini KYC Wallet. I Created These Wallets When Airtel Wallet & Amazon Pay Trick Working

So I Think This is Causing This Error

I am also Checking the credit score of The Person Associated with the Mini KYC Wallet Account in Airtel Thanks App

This Will also be a sign of an Incorrect Information Error
No, actually I created mini kyc wallet too with my mom details. I applied from that number only which is jio number now and was vi number before. So if that's the problem, it should have given me the same error.

But I check my credit score in that number too. Maybe this can be a problem for you

I edited my message. So please check again

Giving Same Error Incorrect Information
If you have other axis cards then go to axis app > profile section > address and copy the exact matching address from there and use that in airtel axis application, it worked for me for time being.
But later they rejected the application stating "pan and adhaar mismatch" when I have given only Pan not adhaar as it's not asked anywhere in the application. Weird af bank and process.

I am holding a salary account and 2 credit cards of Axis bank with my main mobile number (BSNL). But i am unable to apply it for Airtel Axis card, So i casually tried to apply with Jio number and it got approved...

But the worst thing is they have changed my registered mobile number (from BSNL to Jio) to all the relations with Axis bank...

Change it back to BSNL again

From what it seems it’s economical sense for them kind of. If someone from a different operator picks their card then in order to extract more value out of it (esp 25% cashback) they’ll try to be in their ecosystem or try to port into their ecosystem which shall increase their ARPU hence makes sense. I tried from my airtel number but dint receive, from family members jio number got approved in an instant.

Yeah, very true

You are right. My Airtel number didn’t get the offer initially. Tried with a Jio number. It worked and got the card a few days ago. Now, I am thinking about porting Jio number to Airtel as a token of thanks and to save a few bucks. I will port out when the free 5G trial ends in Jio.

So you'll have two airtel numbers?

Yes. I had more than one Airtel number previously. One is my main number. The other usually goes with MikroTik SXT LTE kit, an outdoor 4G CPE. Currently, I use a BSNL SIM with that outdoor CPE as BSNL offers cheapest data at the moment. 2gb per day for Rs.1515 for a year.

I would prefer to have two different operators

I tried with my other mobile number, but used same email id which is associated with my axis account, the request was rejected as i am holding other axis card. I got my ace card in July is it the reason?
I applied via another number but same mail ID, though there were no recent CC applications. So I think the problem is with recency of the application.

Edit:
Sorry, I applied via another mail ID as a precautionary measure.

I applied for Axis Airtel via my sister's number on 11 September, got rejected on 16th September. But in the app it's still showing application declined please try after 60 days. I've 2 questions

1. When will the decline banner stop showing? After rejection date?
2. Can I apply through someone else's number? (It's showing application page in my father's phone) Since it's already 60 days since I last applied. Or should I wait for few more days and apply through my sister's phone only.
