Highlight - Got compensated ₹50000 by Slice Small Finance Bank on account mental agony caused by the bank.
Background - I took Slice Card in July,2021, got that card closed because it came as a consumer loan, hence closed in Nov,2021
Story - These guys opened two consumer loans one with DMI Finance & another with Quadrillion Finance Pvt Ltd to me that always had been the question why two consumer loans against one credit card. DMI appeared on my Cibil in Dec,2021 and Quadrillion appeared in July,2022.
From Dec,2021 and till Oct,2025 these guys opened my consumer loan multiple times despite I being issued with the NDC's already, they changed the amounts, dates, opening dates, closing dates and what so not. But, on account having a subscription on CIBIL and checking regularly, I always raised complaint got my account closed each time they tried doing something unique.
This Sept,2025, they opened the consumer loan again and changed the name to North East Small Finance Bank with the same consumer loan, to which I sent an objection stating that when Quadrillion exists till today, why have they renaming it, they pushed back initially and forced to close my complaint.
I raised with RBI and after that the real talk begins, I reflected tickets, emails, and shady practices that this Slice Small finance bank is doing and has caused numerous mental destress moments for me.
Bottom Line - They didn't had answers to the questions I raised and agreed to correct the data and pay me ₹50000 as a compensation for destress caused by them.
Learnings -
1. CIBIL subscription is a blessing, trust me, I took it casually in 2022, and since then I subscribe every year to stay updated on my financial situation.
2. Never loose hope, always raise emails and tickets and tell the bank about shady practices that they are following.
3. I don't know if I did the right thing, but my assumption is, they gave me ₹50000 to shut my mouth because I raised some serious concerns ( to which they agreed verbally as well ) and it was the same amount that I mentioned in the RBI complaint.
4. Lastly - Not everything that shines is gold. So keep an eye of your data and challenge them for your right.
