Got SBI Cashback Instantly

Hey,
I had previously applied for sbi cashback and the agent kept calling me to verify and kept failing. Random calls etc. kept happening for a month and they rejected my card. I finally gave up and then got the hdfc swiggy card. Now today when I logged into internet banking, it showed that I'm eligible for pre approved credit cards, SBI cashback was one of them. I clicked apply and filled the form today afternoon.
Today evening itself I got the confirmation that my card is dispatched and also got a virtual card right away.
At first I thought I got scammed or something, but I checked and it was real. That was the fastest credit card application of my life.


EDIT: Some additional info:
This time, when I applied from the netbanking page, there was no KYC calls/video etc. There was a CIBIL enquiry though.
I have an RD with SBI. Have no prior SBI credit card. CIBIL Score was 789 at the time.

Is it possible to get approval for a SBI cashback credit card with just 1-2 months of credit history? ( Cibil 750+, idfc wow fd card 27k limit) Or does it need to have a minimum 1-year credit history, like an Amazon Pay credit card?

You can try but 99.99%, you won't get it. Take the chance with rest 0.01%. If it gets approved, go to a religious place to thank almighty for making such a soul who approved your CC.

I did. I just had 6 months of credit history! CIBIL was somehow 789 at that time.

Is this was your first application with SBI?
May be your cibil has something that didn't fit with SBI's parameter of processing the application forward.
Feel sad.

Yes first application with SBI. Already have other banks' cards with 5 L limit with zero lifetime defaults. god knwos the issue!

I too go this same banner in Netbanking. When I click it, it redirects to SBI cards website where there are 3 options -
- Apply Credit card
- Track Application
- Authorize and Complete Application (initiated by agent)

Now when I click apply card, it shows an error and says clear your browser cookies and login again.
I've cleared all cookies, data and tried from laptop - Chrome, Mozilla, Edge, Safari and even from mobile browser but same error is showing.

I guess the offer/pre-qualification has ended for me 😂
I was hopeful of getting Cashback CC but I guess it won't happen. Was rejected twice in 2022.
